^^ NKV: I got extended warranty as freebie when i took the car. There was an offer going on for Insurance @ Re1 and 2 years extended warranty + 4 years Road Side Assistance (RSA) kit. [clap]

I had done 3M Polishing once last year around March. Need to check which package i had chosen. All minor scratches were taken care of. Another one due as of now, will need to schedule it according to Vitamin-M availability.

Meanwhile, what is your ODO reading now? Any issues being faced?

^^BL : Wonderful to hear [:)] that you peppy pot loves you back and hence the clicking ODO.

For me, first year was good, with ODO reaching close to 13k kms. But after shifting to Bengalooru, its been about 7k kms in 1 year, most of which is Hometown / out of city trips. The mess on roads here (both condition & traffic) [anger] makes me take 2 wheeler or some other means of transport.

^^BAB: Mine Brio is doing just fine, running 65 kms per day... ODO is 28.6K right now after 2.3 years. 40K service is due next month.
I am thinking of some paint detailing for it.

Can you tell me will it better to go there before service or after service ?

Off late I have ordered some small small things for my brio... like foot air pump, tyre pressure gauge, punture repair kit, upgraded medical box, microfiber, back rest, nect support, TAI stickers :P

Compare the prices at A.S.S and with 3M car care.

If you could post some pictures, other owners could also chip in with their points on what the best solution would be.

Seems to be some unwanted work done. Share the bill copy to scrutinize.

Have you opted for synthetic oil by any chance??

AFAIK, 6 month service shouldn't go beyond 3.5k, unless something major has been done, that too out of warranty.

Re: Honda Brio: Love @ First Drive (15 Months & 15K Kms)

Meanwhile, i noticed mild rusting on the inside of fuel lid (where the inner part is joined to the lid - will try uploading picture later). Forgot while giving for service, but briefed the Service Manager @ Whitefield Honda body-shop. He assured to look into it when i drop in next time.

Has anybody else noticed it?

Has anyone faced this issue?

Shouldnt i claim this under warranty and get it replaced? Or should i settle with getting the inside re-painted?

I'v 4 years warranty from Honda.

I am not sure if its covered in warranty, If its covered in warranty than I don' t think there's any harm in claiming it.
There's nothing like "No Claim Bonus" to loose when going for warranty.
By the way how old is your brio?
I will check my fuel tank for the same in my 2.5 years old brio.

Peppy Pot is 2 years and 3 months old.

I did check with the SA casually, to which he reverted a doubt on warranty claim.

What i'm checking is, such kind of rusting is normal? And that too for a car not even 2.5years old? In any case, isnt this a defective piece / work, and not due to wear-tear / usage, and thereby a need to claim warranty??

Had been waiting for the right product for quite some time now, but finally feels wonderful with these now.

edit.jpg

Got them installed for 2100 including fitting, from Car Shringar (JC road, Bangalore). Though i feel the price is high, but this is what i could get after bargain, and a lot of search online. Have some road trips lined up for next few months. So gave up on a few bucks for comfort.

The only downside, bottle holder unusable, but then, we have provision for that in front door pockets. [clap]

Planning to turn the fibre part Black in coming days.

Detailed pictures would follow soon.

Meanwhile, the high-mount brake lights failed again. I had replaced the bulbs last week from service centre. Luckily i had bought a spare. Will check tomorrow on the issue and update. Any take from gurus what could be the cause for the failure?

What about the petrol lid rusting? I havent heard from the gurus yet.

I tried searching them before my long drive sometime back but wasn't able to find them.
