^^ Yes, am talking about the arm rest. Definitely worth spending on them.

Spare headlights, yes, a got a couple of them. Moved it from dash board to arm rest storage now.

Do check the high mount bulb. I noticed it wasnt working just over a month of giving it for service. Dont know if they had checked them. I wanted to check them for long, but somehow couldnt, and finally when i went for alignment, voila, it wasnt working.

Meanwhile, i changed the bulb. It had blown off, and was white in color. Also checked the older one, and that was blown as well. So, keeping fingers crossed now on the new bulb. Lets see what the issue is, product manufacturing, wrong installation, or something else. [thinking][shock]

Has anyone faced this issue?

Shouldnt i claim this under warranty and get it replaced? Or should i settle with getting the inside re-painted?

I'v 4 years warranty from Honda.
I'v sent an email to "customer_relations@hondacarindia.com" on the issue. Lets see what they have to say on the matter.

Let me know the email id's of higher official of Honda Cars.

Meanwhile, did a Bangalore - Chennai (via Chittoor) - Pondicherry (via ECR) - Bangalore (via NH-66) trip last week.

Fantastic roads, except for few stretches, especially on NH-66.

Got an average of 18.9 kmpl for the journey on highways. The car felt stable even at speeds above 100kmph. [clap]

The AC fan required to be kept at speed 2, in order to keep the cabin cool in Chennai's hot and Humid conditions.

One incident which happened on the return journey via NH66 - the road expansion work was happening, and as such the condition of road was poor at few stretches after Thiruvannamalai. I was maneuvering over the bad road, with a State bus going in the opposite direction. There came a flying plastic can (filled with some liquid) from the roof of the bus, bang onto the windshield, scattering a smudgy liquid , taking us by complete surprise. Thankfully, no damage, but it did create a sense of fear about those loose luggage kept on the roof of such buses, which can take us for a nasty surprise. [frustration]

Overall ride, with the Arm rest in place - Amazing! I recommend every car owner to install the arm rest, if road trips are always on cards. [thumbsup]

HI BaB...

Great to see you're enjoying with cute little brio. Ya, Arm rest is really got addition to a car especially when you're driving it for an hour or two daily and/or mostly on highways.
Good to hear that you and your ride escape unhurt from that accident.

18.9 is a good average considering AC usage and few bad patches.

Wishing you many more happy miles.
Keep Updating...

Honda care had taken the matter into consideration, and asked Whitefield Honda to look into it, and report them back.

Visited Whitefield Honda's body-shop yesterday, they took pictures of the parts, chasis details and warranty booklet, and will send the same to Honda on Monday. Meanwhile the techincal head for Warranties mentioned, i might not get warranty claim since the vehicle is under extended warranty now.

Further communications would be updated by the showroom people as and when things move forward.

But, the rusting is clearly at Spot Welding points, and that too on the inside of Fuel lid, and i feel its a manufacturing problem, rather than wear-tear / usage. Even the warranty guy acknowledged the same fact.

Honda care would be giving me a call on Monday to check on the status and for feedback's.

Fingers crossed.

MID figures achieved a couple of weeks back on Pune-Mumbai Expressway, overall journey of about 120 kms.

Excuse the picture quality [roll], had to be shot quickly and hence, didnt take the normal stance while taking pictures otherwise. All these were shot by my navigator cum co-passenger cum better half [:D], after some persuasion though [evil].

You must be a very sedate driver.... BAB.

I have clocked 43K in 3 years and getting 15-16 (40%) AC now.
I used to get more when I was more concern about the ECO light but now I usually don't care.

Mileage is most effected by how the care is driven.

Thanks Naveen. Yes, i was a sedate driver for the entire journey. But return was just the opposite [;)].

I love using the peppy pot to its potential [evil].

Meanwhile, i got the break pads changed at 27k kms, as they had worn out. Shall upload pictures of the same over the weekend.

@BAB
Ohh break pads done at 27K.... It seems I apply more accelerator than breaks.
I am done with 40K service and I have replaced battery and tyres during 40k service.
SA told me that breakpads will last another 8-10K kms...

@nitin:
Can you give details of which headlight you shifted too and how was the experience?
I have heard Head Light socket can even melt if too high heating blub... & that what preventing me from Headlight replcament... :)

@Naveen, yeah, even i was surprised when he said they have worn out. I did check the disc, there were hair line marks cropping up, hence didnt take chance.

Could be due to the 80% highway traveling which the peppy pot had done in these 34 months of ownership.

Meanwhile, 2014 was a year, when Peppy Pot embraced East Coast (Chennai-Pondicherry), Silicon valley (Bangalore-Mysore), South West (North Kerala), and reached the West coast (Pune-Mumbai), via Goa. [;)]

Honda Zero Dep is better than other that's why they are charging a premium on that.
I will advice you to try to get cash discount if you don't need freebies.

I got a cash discount of 10% when I renewed it last time from Honda.

I was planning to get waxing done, since i'm getting it as FOC, i think i shall proceed with the offer.

The IDV is fine for a 3 year old vehicle? Thats my only concern.
