Place those bricks or anything that can provide grip to tyres just behind each tyre and in contact with them.

In Reverse gear, accelerate very very slowly to help the tires find traction, then continue to accelerate until you've driven out of the hole.

Its better to pull it out before the place gets flooded in rain.

Wash your car thoroughly once you are out of the mess.[:)]
I tried that yesterday but it didn't help buddy. Front tire was too deep inside the mud.

And on top of that its not the regular mud it's what we call (chikni mitti).

In addition to that turn the steering wheel completely in any one direction (full left/right) and then reverse and move forward alternatively and when you develop some play then reverse to get out of the spot, just keep the steering rotated fully.
I did try doing that but the tire was so deep inside that it didn't turn easily, so I didn't wanted to take chances.

But finally the car is out of that mess and it took around 2 and half hours take it out. I Called my RM and he sent a breakdown vehicle (Scorpio). It's a long story, will post the details once I reach home. Right now I am at the dealership getting my car washed and get it checked thoroughly since there was lot mud on the alloys and brakes were missing the bite due to that. Also there was mud all over the car and inside as well. Will post pics and videos in a while.

Also will be getting my tripmeter updated today.

I can understand your situation sirji(as i have been there), a FWD softroader in soft mud with front wheels stuck the way your was, if it doesn't come out putting a few rocks in and esp off , you don't have much chance. Best to tow it out and not cause any damage to the clutch etc. Glad its out now! But waiting to hear why it took 2.5 hours - intriguing

+100 to that.

Did try putting some bricks by removing the mud and ESP off but my XUV didn't even moved an inch[frustration].

Will post the detail story in a bit, gotta be somewhere in next 30 mins.

Re: DRACO - Mahindra XUV 5OO-W8: Ownership Review

Sorry for the late reply IR buddy. So here we go,

As posted earlier my XUV got stuck on 16th night and I tired whatever I could do to rescue my XUV but nothing helped and since it was dark I had no other option but to wait till next morning to get it Out of that deep Mud pothole.

Some pics of water logging outside our house (And this is when the water level came down)[;)]

So on 17th morning I gathered the labor who was working at our place to get my XUV out. So in total I had 5 people to push the car. What I tried was that the labor will push the car and I will use the engine power as well but that didn’t work and I didn’t wanted my tires to spin on the same place otherwise the tires would have gone more deeper in the mud. So after trying for 15 minutes I stopped and came out of my XUV.

Now to plan B and we called a tractor to pull the car out. Meanwhile I had called 2-3 crane services but everyone was busy and they told me that no Cranes are free right now. I also called the Mahindra breakdown service and they told me that I will have to wait as there are couple of breakdowns and it will take atleast 1-2 hours and I said ok and they put my complain in the queue and updated their breakdown team.

As soon as I was done talking to the Mahindra guys the tractor arrived and I thought that now everything will be fine but I didn’t know that this tractor guy will just increase our problems and waste my time.

I arranged for a rope and tied it to the tractor and my XUV. The tractor guy started the tractor and I took the driving seat of my XUV. In the first attempt to pull the XUV the tractor couldn't do it since his wheels kept on spinning on the same point. And the surface was bit inclined due to which his tractor got bit tilted from the rear because of the surface and the guy turned off his tractor to see if the rope was hooked up properly and when he conked his tractor, it won’t start. Why because the guy didn’t had enough diesel in the tank and since the tractor was standing bit tilted from the back side the diesel in his tank came to one corner hence the tractor didn’t start as the diesel couldn't get to the engine[frustration]. All this took another 30 mins.

So my brother went and got 1 liter diesel, we poured that into the tank and after 5 minutes the tractor started and I took a deep breath thinking that finally my XUV will be out. But this happiness didn’t stay with me for more than 5 minutes when the tractor guy said that he will try to pull the car from the front and I told him that it’s not a good idea since there water and too much loose mud. But the guy didn’t listen and got his tractor stuck in the mud. It took as another 30 mins to get the tractor out[gun]. As soon as the tractor came out I was so pissed off with this guy that I told him to leave since he almost wasted 1 and half hour and took 1 liter of diesel.

As soon as this guy left, Mahindra Break down people arrived in a Scorpio and then they took the charge. First they took around 5 minutes to make a strategy how to pull it out. They came well prepared with some kind of hooks and an iron chain. It took around 7-8 attempts. They also had to remove the mud, dig it and put some stones quite a few times. All and all it took another 60 – 90 minutes for the these people to pull my XUV out.

After their 4-5 attempt the hook on which the chain was tied to on the Scorpio broke and they had to dig some mud and put few rocks as well.

After my XUV was pulled out i took it out on the road where the water was all over on the roads but since i knew that there was no pothole or any mainhole on that road i took my XUV out so that atleast some of the mud on the tires would come out. And then i parked my XUV and went to take a shower after which i took it to the Dealership.

Holy Guacamoly - now i know!

One simple tip for the future - the vehicle pulling out should have been ideally on the concrete surface(or a surface with grip) even if it means the tow rope is slightly longer - that would have made it easy for the tractor.

Also get the tyre alignment redone to be on the safer side!

Thanks Gurrala sir and yes the whole story was so funny and we went to laughing once the XUV was out .especially on the tractor scenario.

Yes that was one of the problem as well since the surface was half concrete and half non-concrete.
And the other problem was that we could not pull the car in a straight line since there was not much space hence they had to pull it out sideways.

I did take my car to the dealership and they checked everything and said it's all ok. After that i have driven the car for almost 300 kms and the car is not going left or right, and there is no vibration as well in the steering. So i am guessing that everything is fine.

Holy ****, Happy to see you car back on tarmac. Damn looking at the pics I recollect the incident of my Punto where it got stuck in beach mud and then asked help of few people to push the car and then it was out. The more you try to get out, the deeper it goes.

Singh lots of drama happening with your XUV.

How come they were using a 2WD to the rescue?

In the end All is Well..

Now i understand the slush on XUV.

Wish you many more miles.
