Chandra, you should be able to get it in the showroom. Check with your dealership. I had mine from the dealership. A picture of the wooden trims was even printed in the Chevrolet Spark Brochure. Thats how I knew of the trims.
This is the picture of my dashboard with the trims. I wouldnt prefer getting it from outside/online because the color might be different. I've seen other Sparks with trims other than this color and they were not impressive at all.
I've written a review of Spark here. http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...evrolet-spark-30-000-km-ownership-review.html
Shameless Advertising
Please be advised that this is not actual wood, but some combination of Vinyl if I am not wrong. I've had them for 2.5 years now without any problems at all.
The above pic doesnt show the trims stuck near the far left and the far right A/C vents.
The trims are placed at
1. Main Console
2. Glove Box door
3. Left most A/C Vent
4. Right most A/C Vent
I searched for these kind of stickers for the Esteem for a year as i was a fan of wooden interiors finally gave up and had it painted. The wait was worth it !!! you just cant tell the difference at all ! - Link
Vinyl is a far more better option for new cars though keeping in mind the warranty
Do you also get those beige dash bords reflection in you windshield?
If yes how are you managing? I am using a small towel which covers only drivers side.
When I checked with ASS they said every spark owner has this problem and he did not suggested and solution.
I thought of replacing the dash [only top] with type 1 dash
I think the 2012 type-3 spark comes with normal dash [not beige one]
I would have literally hit on bike wall yesterday because of this problem.
Sethu Sir,
I had the problem at first. After driving 30,000KM in it(99.5% of which is in city), I got used to it. Now I dont see the reflection at all. My mind is so tuned to the view from inside the car that I do not recognize it is there at all.
I spot it only if I consciously look for it or when the light outside is too bright.
One way to get around this is to use a good set of Goggles. This will not eliminate the entire thing but reduce its effects
