Completed 91000 Kms and had an highway trip too.Odo reading is 91200 Kms.Yet to give her for 90000 Kms service.

Regarding replacement for Vento, considering Ecopsort TDCI Titanium+ due to high ground clearance, price cut to ₹11.5L on road Hyd from ₹13L,cheaper Ford spares and maintenance or S-Cross 1.6 Alpha due to cheaper spares again, better build quality, explosive 1.6 engine, service or City 1.5 VX IDTEC due to its comfort, reliability, mileage or again Vento 1.5 TDI due to build quality which we got used with it.

Even after doing over 90000 Kms,the car can still overtake every other car on highways. But,Ecosport price cut is making us to replace this machine with this and expensive maintenance as the car has touched over 90000 Kms and nearing to 1L Kms in another few months thinking to replace the car with reliable ones like Ford,Maruti(only S-Cross as I like this car from their stable) or Honda.

Gave my car for 90,000 Kms service today.Odo reading is about 91250 Kms and the estimated bill I got is ₹13500.My dad got shocked after hearing the bill.Btw,I'm getting the wiper blades changed too.Expected delivery by today evening.

Btw,when we are looking for replacing Vento,my driver said that my dad's partner's Cruze LTZ AT 2011 for sale at ₹8L as he is replacing Cruze with Volvo,I got tempted and I immediately asked my dad that whether we should sell Vento and get Cruze for Auto transmission. As per my dad, this car has run about 30,000 Kms in 5 years.

Decided not to buy any German car now as the maintenance is getting increased.Btw,my friendly SA said that filters got increased that's the reason he quoted ₹13500 for service.Had asked for exchanging the car with another one and he will say in the evening.

I got the bill of ₹12,640 of 90,000 Kms service today.Im yet to get the car today. Now,thinking to replace the car itself with new one which is reliable, lower in maintenance.

Regarding Cruze, decided not to go for it because this car has run 90,000 Kms and there are problems in this car. Will update everything once the car comes today.

90,000 Kms service done!

Got the car just now with the bill of ₹11,577,not ₹12,640.

Going for highway trip tomorrow to Vijayawada in Vento itself. Will post the details soon.

Overall,my experience with VW Deccan is good.I find our 91,000 Kms run Vento aging very well than our Swift, which has run close to 70,000 Kms in almost 5 years.

Initial observations after service is I found is AC cooling. Its way better than before.

Planning to get magnetic sunshades as heat is increasing.

Michelin Primacy 3ST has run close to 50,000 Kms and there is still good amount of life is left.

Hello Music_Swift.
You are always saying that vento is expensive to maintain. Looking at the bill for 90,000 kms service looks pretty reasonable or i am missing something.

I think he meant that volkswagen cars are expensive to maintain compared to other brands such as Maruti and Ford. Servicing a Volkswagen car costs about ₹10000 for almost all the services while other brands costs about half of it. For a volkswagen car, this bill is reasonable.

Yeah,VW cars are expensive to maintain. But,the bill I got for 75000 Kms was one of the cheapest ones as I got below ₹10,000 i.e ₹9,648 and recent 90,000 Kms service costed me ₹11,577,which is also much reasonable for a car which has run 90,000 Kms.

IMO,VW cars maybe expensive to maintain than Maruti,Ford,Honda or Toyota, but,in terms of performance and build quality,VW cars excels others. If we are looking to replace our present Vento, another Vento, this time DSG TDI Highline, would replace present Vento as Vento is the only car which we got satisfied till now or may go for S-Cross 1.6 Alpha,Honda City Diesel VX or VX CVT,Ecosport Titanium+ Diesel,Creta(base 1.6 SX price comes within our budget as top ends are priced at ₹17.5L and I want only top end versions in every car),XUV500 W6 or W8 and Verna 1.6 SX Crdi. But,my father is waiting for the launch of new Innova Crysta, which will be launched in April.

So many different models in one post. It seems you are considering more than half the market. [lol]

Hey Music_Swift, in no aim to shatter your dream, but don't go for the Hyudnai Verna. The next gen is around the corner, may be in 2017. So check out the other cars out there.

Cheers

Hey Musicswift. A bill of 11000 Rupees seems reasonable for a Vento. It's mandatory according to the VW service schedule to get the timing belt replaced for the Diesel engine. I hope you've got the same done.

Yes, tested it last weekend. Works as expected. Thanks a lot!
Great news buddy. Have a safe motoring[:)].

To Music Swift and all fellow VW owners,
Here is the link for the service calculator and the periodic maintainence labour operations for VW cars. Hope this will help you Musicswift and other Vento owners. I have attached a screenshot down as well for the periodic maintainence labour operations.

Thanks Aniruthan for the info.I didn't get the timing belt replaced.

Btw,car has run 92700 Kms and close to 93000 Kms.Did highway trips to Vijayawada and Warangal continuously.Did 80,000 Kms in 3 years 1 month 11 days.Btw,if we sell this car,how much price I would get on this car?Im expecting around ₹5.5-6.5L as this car has run over 90,000 Kms and close to 1,00,000 Kms in few months.Btw,thinking to replace this with S-Cross 1.6 Alpha or Honda City VX Diesel or CVT.If these doesn't work, will again go for Vento TDI DSG or TSI DSG as my dad is going to buy a new Innova Crysta for himself soon.

And,I'm feeling uncomfortable whenever I sit in the middle row of rear seat in Vento.Thats the reason I want back seat comfort this time. Was thinking about used Cruze, but dropped the idea of buying one due to Chevy A.S.S and higher maintenance costs and I heard that Cruze rear seat is way worser than Vento.

95000 Kms done!

I'm here after long time. Our Vento is clocking close to 95000 Kms as the present odo is coming close to 94900 Kms and did 82000 Kms in 3.2 years. And,she had completed 4 years on April 19th,which the previous owner bought it on that day as a new car.May complete 1,00,000 Kms in another 2 months.Did 3600 Kms in a month after 90,000 Kms service i.e got the car serviced at 91250 Kms and odo is close to 94900 Kms.This includes highway trip to Andhra and numerous trips to Warangal and to my hometown, which is 60 Kms.

Apart from that, she gives the smile after every highway trip and still feels fresh even after doing close to 95000 Kms.So,I feel that 1,00,000 Kms is not far away for us.

Was thinking to replace her with used Laura TDI,Jetta TDI,Cruze or Superb recently but I couldn't find a nicely maintained vehicle.I hope I could find a good used one and enjoy with it.Or else,Vento HL TDI DSG would be a proper replacement for this car or S-Cross 1.6 Alpha or Honda City would be the replacement for our Vento.

Hi Buddy, thats great that you are going strong with your beige hound the Vento, And advance congratulations on your upcoming 1,00,000Km Milestone. And my personal advice for you is not to go for a used car as you won't get the new car feel when you take it delivered and If you Are going to buy a used car better opt for a under 10,000Km Driven car. And In your replacement car may i know your requirements to suggest a perfect car for you[:)].
