Was planning to get another Vento,but this time a DSG one.So,called VW for exchange today and the people came and to my surprise,they had quoted just ₹3L on old car.I had expected till ₹4-4.5L but being an accident car(the car met with an accident 2 times),he had quoted just ₹3L and engine life of the car is in last stages.What should we do now?Either sell or get clutch and engine repaired?The quote for engine repair is ₹3L whereas for clutch,it is ₹1L.And,even VW guys are telling us to sell this car coz you will not even get good price if you want to sell it in 2017.

Is your vento showing any engine problems?
As i know minimum life of 1.6 tdi is 3 lakh km. 1 lakh is nothing for this engine and you have done all service on the time...this engine can easily go 5 lakh km.... I have seen lot of cars done more than 2 lakh km. Cluthch life is also 1.5 lakh km if used properly and 1 lakh for rough usase. Clutch replacement cost 17000 rs. If flywheel is also changed then whole clutch assembly cost 30000 rs in service center. Even passts clutch replacement cost around 90000 rs. In 3 lakh rs you can buy new 1.6 tdi engine engine repair should cost only 50000 rs max but it is impossibke that engine is bad. Max to max head gasket can be bad which cost around 2000 rs.
Please check with any other mechanic. From your earlier post its clearly show that your vw dealer is scamming you from first service till now as most of time you have paid 3 times more for same work.
Please have a second opinion. Clutch price is 22000 with flywheel and taking labour it will not cost more than 30000 in vw. If done outside with orignal part it sjould not cost more than 26000.

Vw cars are made to last dont trust these dealers.. Try to change dealer. Ask your dad to check car with good mechanic outside if its showing any clutch and engine related problem which is highly impossible.

1,12,000 Kms done

Now,Vento has run close to 1,12,000 Kms(1,11,924 Kms as of today).Thanks to highway runs did in last 1 week,Vento has run about 1000 Kms till now and facing some weird problem.The engine check light was glowing when we were coming back home from highway trip today.It was glowing and glowing till we reached home but luckily nothing happened and we didn't get stranded in middle.Whats the solution for this?

And,this will be used for few days as we will be using Innova from now on and in few months,we might sell the Vento for new car as we did nearly 1,00,000 Kms in almost 4 years.

Got around 17.5-18.5 Kmpl when we had went for an highway trip last week and will calculate the today's highway's FE as soon as the tank gets over.

Clean the air filter and check maf sensor is conncted properly. Clogged air filter is main reason of engine check light.

If it dissappeared after some time then it must be air filter...if not something else...

Fng will not understand this problem. Service center will charge 750 rs for vas scanning..
If possible to you then clean the air filter. If not then ask any fng to clean air filter they will take 50 rs charges...if problem still exist then go to ass.... If fng is not trustable or friend then dont tell him that you are getting enigine check light.... Just tell them to clean air filter.

Otherwise wait for one day i am uploading video for how to clean air filter. You can do it at home.

And,my dad has almost decided to replace the Vento with new Rapid DSG as he liked new Rapid so much.Lets see if anything good happens,will book one under buy now,pay in 2018 offer by this month or else,will have to go for another options like Creta,S-Cross 1.6 or others.

Did almost 1,00,000 Kms before the completion of 4 years with her(did 99,000 Kms till now and another 1000 Kms will be added in few days).

This is the only car which we did almost 1,00,000 Kms for the first time and keeping her for 4 years for the first time.Our Swift was sold within 3 years of usage and this would get sold before she completes 4 years with us.

Rapid will be great for you... Rapid is twin of vento so you will feel like in the home.

10000 km service for vento is very early. I do service at 15000-18000. Vw recomended is 15000 for worst conditions like traffic. If you are doing highway runs then 18000 is also ok.

I done 1.2 lakh km in 2.5 years yet not faced single issue with car... Whole suspesnion changed for 16000 rs.

From now i am prefering to service car every 12500 km. Only fuel filter will be changed at 25000 km.

While buying rapid dont forget to buy maintaince package.

And,here comes the sad update.Sold off our Vento finally yesterday for ₹4L outside.It has run 1,12,000 Kms and in that,we had run approx 1,00,000 Kms in almost 4 years.

Now,her replacement would be a Skoda Rapid DSG,which we will be booking soon.

Vento is gone after 4 years 1L Kms of usage an hour ago.She found its new home today and before giving her to new owner,my parents had a last ride in Vento to Karimnagar today.

Yes.We had sold it to an individual,who had a Swift before.

Ohh, Thats sad, But you had a awesome run with the car 100K Km in just 4 years is just insane hope you get rid of the vento's absence soon! I too Still Remember My Zen's Last day with us... It was a heart melting thing, Had a last ride on the car the day night before the new owner took him delivered... The Journey was so memorable and will never forget that kind of an ride in my life cause i was so attached to that car more than anything else! On that ride i was completely thinking about the happiest moments that I've spent with the car, and the places he took us, was just unbelievable. Was a nice ownership with him... Still i Can't forget him, That's the true fact.

In your vento's replacement i would suggest you to buy the New ciaz ZDi+ SHVS As it returns some awesome mileage and the Japanese car's reliability is just undoubted fact, They are know for it, And as you want a low maintenance car ciaz would be the best option and the high-speed stability is just dope!!!
