Doc-My suggestion is to go ahead with Vento and glad that my thread helped you very much.Thanks for that.But,if you buy a VW car,get an extended warranty of 2 years,which is of 4 years.

After the good experience with VW,again thinking to buy Vento TDI,but in DSG as a replacement for Vento TDI MT soon.And,considering an used Rapid TDI again after good experience with Vento but VW A.S.S is in our city is way better than Skoda or Verna 1.6 CRDI as a replacement for our Swift soon so that I can use Rapid whereas my dad will use Vento.

Thanks Dude, and i liked the Premium Biege colour in the first sight itself and i kept Carbon steel as an option as i already have two dark colour cars and even the XUV5OO is going to Be a Dark colour i.e Opulent purple, So that i thought I can go for a light colour in vento. There is a secret reason behind getting Premium beige in specific, that is because my Zen's colour is gold and I thought i can take Premium beige as my zen's memory. Thanks for the warranty sort of detail it would be really helpful and i'll too check it with my dealer as you told. Thats Great to know again your getting a Vento this itself shows how the car would be in realtime ownership, and again this adds to my confidence in VW. Night blue is really a cool colour and when i was in a hunt when we were buying Swift i also Kept Polo in my option and the colour i chossed is Shadow blue it was also a great colour. Let me check in few used cars Website for you i think that would be helpful for you in buying rapid.

I was looking for that Rapid,which is in white colour and already had a talk with the dealer too.He quoted ₹8.75L in phone but in the website he is quoting ₹8.25L.Will check the service history of that white Rapid.This car has run 15000 Kms,which is very reasonable and I saw another red Rapid Elegance 2012 version,which has run 33000 Kms and price quoted was ₹7.5L and I had missed a good deal on 2014 March manufactured Rapid Elegance in black colour for ₹8.4L.This car had run just 8000 Kms and its in black colour.The owner was NRI who left abroad.

The reason for going to German cars again because of its build quality and punchy performance of 1.6.

I will post a separate thread on this soon.

But i won't suggest you the 3rd Gen city that is 2014 model because as i enquired in 3M car care and some accessories shop and service stations they all complaint the same as the new city lacks dashboard quality and fit and finish, and the diesel motor feels very lazy. but the old model that is 2012 models city's dashboards quality was good also the fit and finish was good. So if you are about to buy city better go for the 2012 model. My suggestion.

But i won't suggest you the 3rd Gen city that is 2014 model because as i enquired in 3M car care and some accessories shop and service stations they all complaint the same as the new city lacks dashboard quality and fit and finish, and the diesel motor feels very lazy. but the old model that is 2012 models city's dashboards quality was good also the fit and finish was good. There is some confusion here. The 2014 (latest) one is 4th generation City. 3rd generation is the one which DR. MUDHAN has, the arrow shot design which was launched after the dolphin shape one (which idsi2005 has ).

The interior and quality issues are pesent in 4th generation, 3rd generation is perfect but lacks a diesel engine.

IMO, the Carbon Steel would look better buddy. With those smoked Headlamps, subtle chrome lining, the Carbon Steel would look better.

What color have you decided for the Rapid ? IMO, Red color with Black Package will be the best. Blackened Headlamps with Projectors, Black Alloys with the Red shade would look stunning.

My opinion is exact opposite.

Toffee brown looks better to me. It looks elegant and classy, gives a sleeper look by not being very loud. In the Vento, night blue is the best one I have seen. It is very close to the Audi's blue and with the German styling of the Vento, it will pass off to many as a ultra premium sedan in that shade. Pick the one you prefer after looking at the shades side by side at yard or in service centre.

Actually i am buy premium beige in vento, and the color option is for rapid and my sister is not opting for the black package.
