Went to clear payments today. I never thought of asking for a TD. But to my surprise, the sales asked me if I want a TD with 3.2 4X4 Titanium. Accepted immediately and took a 20 kms TD.
1. Needless to say, I enjoyed the drive. With Mild offloading and Rock mode, and it was rocking.
2. Head-space in OK for me. (6'2") after finding a nice driving position -If I am going for a this model with sun-roof, limited head-space will NOT be a deciding factor. I see people just exaggerate, after some other disappointing experience.

3. Cabin is silent - expect some minimal Engine noise.

4. I could realise the torque, though sometimes the throttle response is slightly lesser. May be making the vechicle lighter could make it better. I think it will be done only in the new series of Engine, around 2018. (My guess)

5. It swallows speed bumps easily.

6. You will really see people giving you way![:D]

7. Horn is good - I do not think I would change this.

8. Map is optional and additional. Sales have no clue about when they will get accessories. I think we need to place orders by paying advance.

3.2 delivery time is said as 4-6 months, just to be in safe. I guess they should be able to deliver in 8 weeks.

I do not know if 2.2 will give me the same feel, still couple of more days to go.
Nice initial impressions, yeah I too saw some people complaining about low head room, actually new Endeavor sits lower than old one and the set is set for more car like angle and that means one can sit inside this thing like being in a sedan, some people get inside new Endy and try maximizing the seat height or try to see full bonnet up front, thats not the case, new Endy one can sit slightly lower to have better comfort and driving, I feel thats how its made, still the second row passengers will have scraping sun roof when sat up right if the passenger is over 6 feet tall
Anyway hoping to see the full ownership review soon, [clap]

I found more reasons for not buying an Endo than buying. I was very interested in booking 3.2 Titanium and talked to 3 different dealers. None of them gave proper replies and are least bothered to serve the customer. The good thing is, this is standard across the dealerships and seems standard operating procedure set by Ford India to all dealers. If this the kind of service extended to a 34 lakhs car buyer, can't imagine about other ford buyers.

The trouble is Ford is in short supply of 3.2 TDCi variants, so Ford is trying to promote sales of cars that are with dealers as 1st allocation, its a pity that Ford that moved the automotive world by inventing the assembly line is finding it difficult to sell more according to demand, but reality happens to be taken with a pinch of salt, here in Trivandrum too just 2 cars for TD have been allotted and no info on delivery of booked Endys, some SA just blindly quoted 4 months waiting period, a few potential customers got disappointed with this and were arguing with SAs and the SA s had nothing to defend and heard all that customers had to say.

I visited Bhavna Ford, Nerul, Navi Mumbai for TD. They have 3.2 version for TD since yesterday. I was asked to wait for 5-10 mins for TD by the SE. Within 2-3 mins he returned to me requesting to wait for 15-20 mins for TD as the vehicle is out for another TD. He vanished after giving me this information and I was absolutely unattended for next 30 mins having no clue when I will get the TD. Nobody attended even for drinking water, leave aside refreshments. 3 female receptionists were busy with usual female chatter. I asked one about the SE and she said, the car is away for TD. I lost my patience. To his bad luck, SE came to reception and got a nice music from me. Their's was utter careless and thankless attitude towards customer. I left the dealership without taking TD.
I wrote to Ford India about this negative experience at 12:30 am and got a reply from them at 2am (yes, 2am). The person is requesting my contact number. But, I am in no mood for TD currently and my number is already there with Bhavna Ford. Let them search for it if they really want to solve the case.

Bhavna Ford Customer care representative on the other hand called me yesterday and asked me feedback about the TD of Endeavour. [frustration]

Could anyone check 'Mykey' functionality
Ford has several videos on their Youtube channel, Just happen to see this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHSufr2fuM4

Could you take picture of the car. Want to see how car looks in that color. I am thinking about grey color.
Sales head said they are yet to get the RTO approval letter to register. So, the vechicle will be handed over only by next week. I have no hurry too. :-)

Someone from the showroom sent me the pics, this is the same vechicle to be delivered to me. (Ford CBE has 5 in hands already including two 3.2s - only one meant for TD, I suppose) :-)

I know may people may not prefer this color though they may not dislike it - I thought it would standout, and I love coffee and anything closed to coffee. [lol]

Hi,
The Interior Dash board leather stitches adds a very good premium looks for this big SUV.
All the best for FORD to compete with the likes of Fortuner, Pajero Sport , Trailblazer.

Friends,

Here is a problem.

After paying 100% the dealer says that they are waiting for the design approval from RTO, and it will take another week or more. No idea about it when. Vehicle is in the Yard, I have seen it. I have the VIN no too.

If that something Ford India has to handle or the local dealer in the city?

Does Ford sells the vechicle without endorsing it to RTO for approval? Should I write Ford Customer service and check why it is so?

Thanks,
Benny

Totally bizarre there is no way it can be out when the RTO approval for design is pending, it would have cleared all the formalities when it landed in the showroom because their initial work would be getting a TR and a TR is not issued to the showroom folks until the design is approved , however the R&D of the company have TR for road tests but that is a totally different case

I assume there must be something else stopping its better you contact @FordIndia through twitter

Ford has nothing to do with this. This has happened to me when I bought pajero sport AT. Dealer should submit the documents to RTO and get it uploaded to the system. It will take a week to complete the formalities. Just keep pushing the dealer

You are right and thanks for sharing your experience, They were able to make it with 3.2, and waiting for 2.2. A punishment from the government for the first person who pays 4+L taxes. No other way than waiting.
