Mark a mail to Mr. Anurag Mehrotra. You'll get a resolution within real time.

Regards

Akash
Sure, I am writing them. Wrote to Mr. Anurag through LinkedIn too.

Totally bizarre there is no way it can be out when the RTO approval for design is pending, it would have cleared all the formalities when it landed in the showroom because their initial work would be getting a TR and a TR is not issued to the showroom folks until the design is approved , however the R&D of the company have TR for road tests but that is a totally different case

I assume there must be something else stopping its better you contact @FordIndia through twitter
I am not sure if any dealer gives TD for 2.2 AT/Manual - they only have it in showrooms. I do not think anywhere is India they are giving. If I am correct, shall we assume 2.2 design approval is not yet given in whole India?[surprise]

Should I think all the good things come only after patience and endurance.? ;-)

The trouble is Fords supply chain promoted more 3.2 4x4via CKD route because it is priced onnpar with the best selling Fortuner 3.0 AT range 4x4,
Now they understood that the demand is vast and spreads across all variants in equally good ratios, so they are trting to sell away all the 3.2 that the showrroms were allotted at 1st before taking full fledged fleet of 2.2 variants, Fords CKD is really messing things up, sure Ford has a wonderful oppertunity now, but it seems they still slack behind Fortuner, new Endy sold just 482 units in January 2016 while Tfort sold over 850 units,

Ford should have had more cars in showrooms before launching the Endy, seems like the Chennai flood has given Ford more than enough head ache to keep supply in check datimg to December 2015,

Anyway I feel the wait is worth the new Endeavour, its a 10+ year life companion SUV,so I hope one wont hesitate waiting for it.

Fortuner vs Pajero Sport vs Endeavor
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EA8603B5c9Y

Here the Endeavor lost due to its price tag, the Endeavor is priced at 50 lakhs range in Australia for the Ambient and the Trend between 55 lakhs and Titanium between 62 lakhs range in Australia compared to Fortuners 30-40 lakhs range, so not a definitive verdict, nevertheless the new Fortuner is up to the task of fighting the new Endeavor

I got my 2.2 Titanium delivered on 19th, after all the issues were sorted with the RTO registration.

Driven around 70 Kms so far strictly within City in tight traffic. No complaints on managing the vehicle, though I see Scorpio is much easier to manage due to the road visibility.

Few things I liked:

1. Steering
2. Braking (I found it much better)
3. Seating ergonomics
4. City maneuverability
5. Sedan-like suspension/drive on highways

What I disliked:

1. Needle type keys(after using flat keys for 15+years, which are easy insert)
2. Engine noise between 2nd and 3rd gear shifts with Turbo lag which is sometimes apparent
3. No bottle holder between the driver and passenger (which existed in my Scorpio prior to 2014)
4. User-manual that doesn't specific to the model. (Why not writing specifically to the model for a car of 30L)? So much to read and find irrelevant content.

Accessories planned:

1. Full floor cover
2. Sun films

Great and we are waiting for the ownership review of the Golden Brown Endy[clap]
The 2nd -3rd gear slack is something I think is due to gearbox and not the lag, the car feels like staying at 2000-3000 rpm for some time then it shoots rpm up, typical Ford AT programming, I am not sure why they do that ?
How is the cars engine braking and response when throttle is lifted off at say speeds in between 40-60 kmph? Does the Endy keep on pushing even without throttle if lifted off throttle? or will it down shift immediately?

Exactly, as you say. It should be the gearbox. Though it is tolerable, I see Engine roaring without quick gear shirt. I think i need to change my drivign style. :-) Not expecting much.

Car's braking is fine, It could have been little better. (My i10 AT gives more confidence than this one) - But I think lillte bit change in the driving style could help me.
Regarding your question, I will test it soon and post, Didn't notice it yet.

@Carbage, did you plan for changing tyres.? I was told , stock MRF tyres are not good for a machine of this stature
Thank you Soorya. I am not going to change the Tyres until 20K, I think this period will give me assess it.

Is there any reason why people consider MRF not good?

In my previous car (figo) the default tires are mrf and the only issue I found was more road noise (tire noise) but road grip as well as mileage was good

And at 25 k kms when I check with the tire shop on how good the tires are the person told it will come good to a max of another 20 k kms

But for my ecosport it came with good year, no issues till now and when I check with the same tire shop guy at 25 k on kms he said it will come for another 10 k kms max

I might be wrong in comparing the life of different size tires, but to the best of my knowledge mrf is a good tire with hard rubbers which is more stiffer than good year rubbers

Noise cancellation is excellent, so I could hardly hear any Road noise. Personally I like Bridgestone, which I have used for more than 140000 KMs in two cars. They provide excellent drive and lesser noise. (I didn't have good experience with Goodyear - which lasted only 19K, which was 10 years ago).

Regarding MRF, need to wait and see. :-)
