Ford Endeavour BS6 With 10-Speed Auto Launch Price Rs 29.55 Lakhs
Ford has launched BS6 compliant version of its popular Endeavour SUV with introductory prices, which are valid till 1st May 2020, after which prices will increase by up to Rs 70,000. Updated Endeavour will also be getting some new features including segment-first 10-speed automatic gearbox. There is not any major changes to exteriors design and styling and interiors. Ford says, “The 2020 Endeavour features all-LED headlamps, encased in an all-new contemporary square design lamp cluster. The LED lamps for both low and high-beam provide up to 20% greater lighting penetration for enhanced night-time visibility.”
Another highlight of BS6 Endeavour is its 10-speed automatic gearbox that will be replacing the 6-speed automatic unit available with BS4 Endeavour. This makes Endeavour the first passenger vehicle in India to offer 10-speed automatic transmission. While 9-speed automatic is already offered with Jeep Compass diesel, Honda CR-V diesel and various models of Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover, 10-speed automatic can work as an effective USP for Ford in India. It is also worth noting that Endeavour’s primary rivals Toyota Fortuner and Isuzu MU-X come with 6-speed and 5-speed automatic, respectively.
