4> Mysteriously, They did not find anything wrong with the turbo on Physical inspection.
The Turbo was not starved of oil
There is no Play in bearings
There is no Deformity in Impeller.
I do follow idling procedure at crank & Shut down.
Vehicle is Mostly driven by Dad who hesitates to cross 90 KMPH.
BHVM while all that ends well is well, i dont think your turbo was the problem at all.
Did they check the fuel pump all ? i think the egr vacuum modulator was the only problem.

since they couldnt diagnose the real problem, they replaced the turbo as well.[:D]

IR, The modulator was not replaced. They put in my old modulator.

They replaced turbo out of experience. Since Dhule workshop knew that turbo will solve this problem. I'll ask them to check the fuel pump at next service. Because error code P2031 is fuel pump one right? Don't know how it came to Turbo then..

Gave the Underseat Woofers a good coat of paint (Finally!). The process was as follows-
Clear resin (to Seal the surface)> Flat Black Paint> Metallic Black paint.
About 4 coats at each step.

do you have any pics of the woofer connections to the head unit?
Hello,
Woofer cannot be connected directly to head unit. You need an Amp.
RCA from AMP go to HU. The dash teardown pics are on 1st page I think.
Mind you, its not for faint hearted.

BTW, do post your plans/Pics regarding this update.

that looks cruel. I would leave that work to professionals if I ever managed to get that done.

As of now I was just contemplating the budget needed to get that done. but looks like some good speakers with amp and woofers will go over 40-50k, if I need some difference in the stock and the aftermarket setup. So I guess I will keep it on hold again for some more time.

the best thing to do at this point, is to replace the stock speakers- in stock size, stock location & with stock wiring.

sq difference will be noticeable and options will Open up to amp them at a later point of time. subwoofer is really inconvinient in xuv, believe me. I brought jbl 12 inch for it last year, and have carried it only once.

p.s- my installs were done by dealership itself.

Go for Mid segment speakers like these-
https://pioneer-india.in/product/ts-a636/
The reason is Lightweight Paper cone that gels well with your stock HU (Your OEM speakers are Paper only) and they're highly efficient.

High end speakers made with Poly or kevlar cones /Rubber surrounds need much more power to keep going and are designed to be used with an amp. Also, No need to rip out the wiring. You'll loose warranty if you do that. Ask the installer to use stock wiring. Its not that bad. You'll anyways have to redo the wiring for Amp install a couple of years down the line.

The Project cost with Above suggested speakers will be 10k overall.

Re: “Thunderbolt” Mahindra XUV5OO Detailed Review (3 Years Report)

ODO- 63K Kms.

Thunderbolt has seen less use. Just a few trips to Gujrat here and there. Here is an update with respect to recent 700km Trip.

1. This time I used my speaker quick disconnect to carry my 12 Inch sealed woofer.
DIY Speaker/ Subwoofer Quick Disconnect

The woofer belts out impressive, chest thumping bass. Its the kind of bass i've always liked- Tight and Punchy. Thats the beauty of sealed woofers. I think with quick disconnect in Place, more and more of my future trips will see the use of 12" Sealed woofer.

2. Infotainment restared twice and once got unresponsive touchscreen. Remembered the trick from Microsoft. Shut down the car and restart- Lo! Info works again.

3. Middle row cabin lamp (Automatic one) has half the LEDs fused up. Will get it replaced during service.

4. Performance more than adequate. FE hovers around 12.2 with heavy foot.

5. Navigator door speaker seems to have started rattling. May have to upgrade the set of speakers.

6. Polished the leather using WAXPOL VINYL & LEATHER polish. A very good product. brings up the shine and suppleness. Also Polished my home dining chairs with the same product.

7. XUV boot swallows tons of luggage as usual.

8. Little Did I know that XUV fog lamps have unique beam patterns for each side. Driver side fog has sharped, steeper cutoff and is mostly directed straight forward.
Navigator side fog extends a lot more into sidings and has a wider cutoff.
I am happy that I noticed this after my HID upgrade which means HID has perfect cutoff and has passed the beam pattern test![evil]

9. Brakes have started making infamous grinding noise.
