These days I don't get much time to post and I may have missed some regular updates. The following posts maybe slightly out of timeline. Pls excuse.

The thunderbolt had a small service visit. Details below-

1. Navigator middle row door pad stuck. (Left 2nd row)
It looks like the Mahindra ASC who has changed / Repaired door latch did not secure the door pad properly. Now the door pad came undone and got stuck on rubber beading. Means the door cannot be opened. Any force would have cracked the plastic door pad.
The same was fixed properly by another Mahindra ASC.

2. The infamous ABS errors-
These 3 error lights are common & famous on Mahindra XUV Whatsapp groups.

After scanning the issue was found out to be somewhere around the cruise control area.

Mahindra ASC asked 2 days of time to open the dash and check the wiring. I have skipped it for now as I can't drop the vehicle for 2 days nor I want the dash to be cracked open.
Currently the Cruise & Hill descent control does not work properly.

3. Uneven wear of Navigator rear tyre-
Inspected the suspension and it seems to fine. Maybe just the tyre is worn out.

Here are few observations taken from recent trip-

1. Performance is still great and is eager to cross triple digits at the earliest. Its hard to find such performance in budget these days.

2. Huge luggage space which can move houses. How much luggage you ask?
Let me show ya-

3. Middle row has acres of space. A Makeshift bed is easily possible for child to sleep.

4. Noticing lots of New tolls on the road. Even the older 2 lane roads are going to the paid now!
These tolls on 2 lanes are totally unethical and should be uprooted!

5. The controls are refined & light enough for a female to drive. Cannot say the same about my Elephant!

6. Using 2 GPS units these days. Mahindra has stopped updating the original MMI GPS and hence it does not have some of the newly built roads. Sad, because this original GPS is extremely accurate and reliable.
Having to compensate with Nokia Here Maps.

7. Oppressive speed limits.
Mostly around 80 Kmph. But at some times as low as 65 to 70 KMPH
6th gear is rarely engaged even on highways due to very restrictive limits.
The cheetah has a natural cruising speed of around 110 to 120 but India seems to follow speed limits made for horse carriages & bullock carts.
