Re: “Thunderbolt” Mahindra XUV5OO Detailed Review (3 Years Report)

Hello Again Folks,
The update here is no Update.

TSI vipul and me are on the heels of Head Management at Mahindra. Vipul has helped by composing a stern mail and sending it to the head Honchos of the brand.

Mail Was sent on Friday morning, Unfortunately, There has been no reply for the mail or even a call in that matter. Usually, when you send a complaint to higher ups in Mahindra, the phones start ringing every hour and they really get the ball rolling. I have suffered many Failures on XUV, But atleast the service was excellent on their part. I do not know what is wrong this time. I am also not getting any interim updates on my Part order or anything like that.

Today I will be exploring other options like going to Social media etc. Anyone who is reading this and has an idea, do chime in.

Thanks.

Vehicle inoperative- 13 days.

I am shocked at this condition of your car Bhvm buddy. 2 weeks for responding and that too from Mahindra? 2 weeks and car is inoperative. I believe no mail or facebook comment will help. I would suggest, visit the Mahindra's mumbai office even if it takes you to travel a bit. Face-to-Face communication is the best in such situations. I can't understand how can such a prompt and customer-focused firm like Mahindra take so long? I would suggest you to get immediately in touch with Mr. Anand Mahindra on Twitter and contact Mr. Pawan Goenka. I personally had a good experience with Mahindra's top executives so I am bit surprised reading your concern. Mr. Mahindra and Mr. Goenka will surely resolve the issue in real time. Also, provide them with the entire vehicle history.

I am there with you and do keep me informed buddy.

Regards

Akash

Re: “Thunderbolt” XUV 5OO Detailed Review (Decals, Audio, LED, Mods++)

BlueSense System-

Long before I booked the THUNDERBOLT, I knew that Mahindra has an Android app Called BlueSense. Its an Indian First that allows you to view various vehicle info and Control Music right from the Mobile Phone! I Played around with the App and it sure is Novel. Infact, It reminds me of some Old James Bond Movie where Bond controls His car using a tablet !!If the Spirit continues, those days may not far away from us...

You Can view the Fuel Statistics-

AC information, Pity that you can't change Blower speeds etc from the phone-

View attachment 92207

You can control the music that's playing from USB/CD and also view the name of current track-

However, I simply end up playing the Music through my phone BT rather than USB+Blue sense.

You Get to see the Tire Pressure as well as temp for all 5 wheels!! Yippiee!!

View attachment 92209

Strangely, The Main Screen only Shows OK...OK....OK rather than Temp and actual pressure that BlueSense app can show. I want Mahindra to Fix this Anomaly.

congratulations man.

Just was browsing here-

Mahindra XUV 500 complaints

It appears Clutch and Infotainment issues are quite common.
Read only 2 issues related to total engine failure or Engine light.

Yes there seems to be some effect.
I am now in contact with Mr.Nilesh Kharche from Bombay office. He's a colluge to the person I was talking to earlier.

Today he was saying that he is getting parallel message from twitter regarding complaint. Was that you buddy?

Meanwhile, they're still asking 2~3 days for install and testing.
Installing turbo takes so long?

That was me saarji. These idiots still took so long to respond.

It will take 2 days at least. Installing turbo itself may take a long time and then they will go for an ECU reset as much I remember.

Request the gentleman to arrange for an executive from Mahindra to thoroughly and properly inspect your car prior to delivery this time so that no issues may occur in future.

I am absolutely novice in regards to twitter and facebook. It could be possible that upon my earlier suggestion, Vipul may have twitted the matter to Mr. Mahindra and the same would have been re-twitted.

Meanwhile, they're still asking 2~3 days for install and testing.

I would suggest you to supervise the work in your car. You need to be absolutely pacified with the work as issues have been cropping up in your car quite often.

In the end, I just would say thanks to Mahindra for resolving the issue even though it took time.

Sorry sir, I won't and nor I am a bit satisfied with the way things have turned out to be.
1) Bhvm is entitled to get a courtesy car or travel expenses covered - they haven't done this.
2) Bhvm should get something in written or some sort of warranty extension on drivetrain. What if this failure occurs again on the day when warranty is over?
3) No communications from Mahindra guys despite of several e-mails and tweets. C'mon man, we aren't sitting here free enough to troll them if we are bothering to give them our 15 minutes, then there would be some genuine reason for it.

They're now saying some more days are required and turbo replacement is not Mandatory! So then why were we waiting full week for the turbo?
Just to let car collect dust!?[frustration]

Check their SMS-

The dealer is at fault here. I believe the dealer is totally incapable of taking the right decision. Mr. Mahindra / Mr. Goenka need to address this matter w.i.e as to why the dealer is not efficiently working on the issue? The brand often faces fire due to such incapable dealers. Though thankfully the spare arrived even though late but now its the slow attitude of work that is making the case worse.
