Re: “Thunderbolt” XUV 5OO Detailed Review (Decals, Audio, LED, Mods++)

hello everyone!!
after a loooooonngg wait of 8 months,I got the purple Club kit now! ohhh!
however as you guessed it, most of the coupons have expired. I have launched a message for the same, now let's see what happens.

else the vehicle has going fine. efficiency seems to be hovering around 13 but never touching 14. there's very faint 'toooooob....tooooob' sound in the cabin regardless of engine or vehicle speeds.
I have installed 36w led fog lamps inside the grille. and also Led grille illumination. it's FANTASTIC!!.
That's good to know that everything is going great and smooth.

Can you please post the pictures of the led fog lamps.

LED Grille Illumination-

LED HEADLIGHTS-

PICS are taken in MANUAL mode(Same settings and on Tripod). if you feel that the LED Pics are TOO bright, Thats because They're! You can drive with these LEDs alone and keep headlights off. No Problem.

Head over to Blaze N Bright - LEDs for your SUV/Car/Auto or Home.BUY LED INDIA to buy such LEDs.

they both are very different animals. xuv is a soft roader. storme is still a traditional body on chasis SUV. tougher for off roading.
I never had problems about clearance in both vehicles though.

Re: “Thunderbolt” XUV 5OO Detailed Review (Decals, Audio, LED, Mods++)

hey I liked your entire setup of headlights. How have you wired the LEDs? Are they wired to an independent switch or are connected to Fog lamps?
I tried finding an opening where I can get the wires inside the cabin for a separate switch but was not able to find anything.

Those LEDs are expensive man. but I think worth it. They dont spoil the looks of the vehicle plus you can stack any number whenever you want.

Are they bolted to the cross member or just stuck using double sided tape. Any pics of WIP?

Man they're dirt cheap if you consider the cost of hella or lightforce. Amazing efficiency and low power . Means I was able to avert any risk of wiring meltdown. no relays or cutouts are required.

they're tied to the fog lamp relay so no need to route cabling or splice wires. they're pasted and also tied up to the cross member ahed of radiator using steel wires. no drilling. no warranty issues. totally covert and best thing is, no spoilt looks upfront!!

wip and instructable coming up next week.

Re: “Thunderbolt” XUV 5OO Detailed Review (Decals, Audio, LED, Mods++)

I'm pleased to report that the thunderbolt has completed a high speed trip of 2000km last week. the interesting thing is the 1000km was a STRAIGHT drive. no stop except for lunch and tea. we started early morning at 4am and were at our destination before dinner time. that was about 14 hours of continuous driving. we don't carry a chauffeur so it was it was mostly me, sometimes my Dad.

really enjoyable driving experience. on the Open sections of highway we managed stretches of 130-140km /h. and the vehicle felt rock sold. we were 5 people with chock full luggage till the roof.

we used GPS all throughout the trip and that buddy is worth in gold. a praise for gps !(claps)

what I liked-
ultra high performance
Great braking
noise insulation
stability
godsend GPS
Led headlights
last row ac (after joining guests we were 8 during a few city runs )

what I disliked-
ice switches on Radio with a disturbing buzz on every time we enter the key. I does not remember mute or last used mode.

hot air coming from ac feet vents.

recurring and disappearing tooob-troobb noises from engine bay.

lack of sliding bars on middle row

engine clipping on speed breakers in 2nd gear

poor default low beams.

fe of only 12.1kmpl using tank method.

thanks!

From where and how to open the Fog lamps?
fog lamps?
you don't need to Open or tinker with them at all.
there's a fog lamp relay in the engine bay, you can take your connections from there. it's safe and 'no splice' approach.
