pop the hood and open the fuse box at right side. you can locate a 4 pin fog lamp relay there. if you're online on messenger, I could help you live.

Spare wheel Tryre Rubbing Problem-

When I revealed the Spare wheel to check air (TPMS was throwing warnings), I found that the spare wheel mounting Mechanism was slightly rubbing against the sidewall of tyre, as seen in Pics-
Worst thing is, its also abrading the alloy rim!

The Solution was to take a Thick plastic sheet, cut it along, and fix it when mounting the spare wheel-

New function?-
I seem to have discovered a new function in XUV last week. The hazard warning Automatically flashes during Extreme Braking or Rough Ride.
Actually, At night Drive I went over a Un-Marked speed Breaker very badly. The car had a Jolt, The Engine Clipped and Hazard Indicators flashed once. Due to the heat of event, i could not understand things very well. But I did see the Indicators flash.
If any of you have noticed the same, Kindly provide inputs

I had given the vehicle for first service last month. I was charged 700rs as consumables [frustration]. Is that normal ?

I think I see 3 relays, can you help me to tap the right relay. And where did you connect the wires ? Attached picture of fuse box.

700 is normal if they have topped up oils and stuff. paste a scanned bill copy if possible.

for. relays, I don't see your image. and what are you trying to do? my method is only applicable for led headlights as for their negligible consumption.

I did attach scanned bill copy and relay unit. Wondering what happened to them [roll] Attached them again.

I was just planning to put DRL.

why do you want extra drls?
just put your headlights to parking mode and the Led works as drl. I've seen Many people driving that way.

actually the DRLs on XUV are useless during day specially noon. no one can actually tell if they are ON or not...

agreed, then install more drls and take power from existing parking lights.
other option is drl with motion sensor. just hook it to Battery and it starts as vehicle moves. no wiring needed.

I had same thoughts ! [anger]
Where did you get the servicing done ? How was the service ? I was totally unsatisfied as the RM was least knowledgeable. He was just nodding to what mechanic says but never listened to my problems. [frustration]

@bhvm, Can you explain a little more on motion sensor switch? That idea seems cool to me [clap]
What do I need to procure? Where will I get ? Will that switch be readily available ? Is it available online ?

motion sensors are widely used to add aftermarket lights in USA. when the car starts moving, the g force starts your lights without needing any extra switches or wiring. it's mostly used for drl.

such gadgets are a rarity in india but if you know how to import, I'll pass on the links.

for the Led drivers, try lamington road in Bombay.

Thank you for the information.

I have a motion sensor switch which I got from USA but it works on 110v. Is there a possibility to use that ? I haven't opened it up [roll]

Sorry if I am hi-jacking your thread.
