First of all congratulations for your new car. I am going to buy polo highline petrol from bangalore. But the OTR price whatever you mentioned (6.xxL) is not matching with what quoted to me (7.08L). And i hope you bought it in bangalore itself. Please share some bargaining tips :)

I had some heavy discounts going that time. 15k cash discount, 20k insurance discount. Prices of Navi Mumbai are less by 40k due to no Octroi. All this combined brought down the price to the magical 6.27L.

If you do not want bluetooth module, you can force them not to install it and reduce 5k from price.

New mod coming up.

Just ordered RCD510 from ebay. The seller claims that it has been removed from Passat and still unused with activation code.

While it does not add much, I wanted touch based ICE.

Cost was around ₹ 12500. Lets see how much import duty the bugger attracts.

Click on make offer and enter 179 as offer amount. It gets auto accepted. You can try going a little lower at 175 but risk getting rejected.

It is the model with reverse camera compatibility. So you can order compatible VW reverse camera separately later.

It's got USB and SD card reader.

^^ It has separate USB cable as seen in the 4th pic. It connects to the kinda circular yellow socket behind. The MDI connection is part of the canbus bundle.

Since my car has MDI cable in canbus, I will get 1 usb through MDI, 1 usb through back wire, and SD card at front. I plan not to use the USB wire as the functionality is duplicated. However, you should, since your canbus will not have MDI wires.

I have ordered it. Now the waiting game.

I don't know if that no.2 model is available.

All the rear sockets of VW cars are same. Universal.

No. The earlier batches of polo have different couplers that even RCD 310 can't be fit into it, easily. Needs some work to be done, I am afraid if its too much of hassle to fit it.

BTW just wondering, is it possible to enable the dash to show which gear to shift to?

I found that feature in Vento and Polo TDI. But I keep fiddling with the switch on Wiper stalk, but don't seem to find gear suggestion on Petrol variant.
