Finally after a week, I cleaned and polished my car [clap]. It took me 4 hours of hard labor to make the car showroom finish. Used Colin diluted with water to clean the paint surface and used Colin concentrated to clean the glasses. Used newspaper for the 1st time to clean glasses and the result is astonishing [surprise]. I will be using paper hence forth to clean glasses. Used formula one wax to polish my car. Not a great product but not bad either. Used MF gloves to polish the car to shine.

Also cleaned the car cover using washing machine. Did not clean properly but I was not in a position to wash it myself [roll].

Attached few pics of my white viper.
Good to see your car clean and shining. And more than polishing try to wax the car, it will protect for long, at least 3months. Few days back I ordered Turtle Wax and on last Sunday did the wax all over the car, even on glasses. Earlier I used formula one quick wax and its works just nothing, neither it cleans. According to me formula one products are not perfect for Indian condition also the price is high. After the Turtle Wax I can clearly see it lets the dust seat on the surface far far less. I has polished in one area and rest of the car was Formula waxed and was driving through a extreme dusty under constructed road and when came back I clearly see the particular polished area had less dust. Also it says it will last for 12month, even if it works for 3months that is enough. But doing the wax is extremely hard, when it dried it really hard to remove it. But it provide great shine. Took this picture by mobile after done.

Thanks AppU for liking my post.

Thanks Soumen for the quick reply. I got the formula one wax from a supermarket here. I have read in lot of forums that turtle wax is one of the best wax to use. May be I will order one once this one is used up(My wife is really pissed off for spending unnecessarily on car care products. lol! ). My next thing is to get a Jopasu duster. I think you are having one. How's it? Is it worth? I really need a duster now. I cannot wash the car every time before putting the cover. It's such a waste of time.

I still to get car seat covers and steering cover. I need to get as much close as the stock SXO seat looks. Still to check with Hyundai dealer. Same for steering leather wrap also. Do not really like the thick one.

Jopasu duster is really good. I have one and it works perfectly. It removes the dust. The only thing is that you have to make sure there is no water on the car. If it is dry dust, it removes the dust completely.

No one to stop me but yea these days I’m also spending lots of money into it, I must stop it. I ordered chrome door handle cover and side guard too. Jopasu duster is little costly as a duster, I got it at around Rs 450, but like VipinLJ said it truly worthful. The best thing is it don’t through off dusts to other area like other dusters does, it takes the dust in it. Also its design is very handy and it wont make scratch. I was so impressed by it I got another mini duster for the interior clean. Better than washing and wiping its better to use this duster, as it will not create water marks.

Don’t wash the car frequently, once in a month is ok except rainy season. Excessive washing can create rusts. Try to remove dust and the wipe off by dumped cloth. And wash wheels, mud flap if requires.

and check Hyundai genuine accessories, you wont get exactly same like SX(O) but these are good stuff, I compared with aftermarket.

Yes they have indeed increased the price. I had bought in Apr-13, for Rs 375/- (MRP was Rs 495) from Reliance Autozone.
This is a speedy hike. I was planning to get another one, if one get dirty and done have time to wash/clean the duster then I can use another one. But with this price its looks like too much. I will look for other stores if cheaper.

Seriously the price has increased a lot. Yipeee.... I got my Jopasu Duster today. Tried it on my car. It works miracle. Worth the money! Express delivery, got within 3 days. I made it late to get the product though. Earlier I had to wash my car before covering it. Now no more extra work. I can spend more time with my wife now(She was always complaining I spend half of my weekends with car. [lol]

[lol] Thank you Soumen! Soon mini will also be part of my car product family!
Mostly the dash surface have in Verna its not well for wet cloth cleaning, it leaves watermarks. The duster works fine for cleaning mostly the dash also the HU area, that is why I took the mini duster. I don’t know why I never open windows on roads and even keep the AC on so that no dust came inside, but still I found little dusts on the dash last day after a long ride.

Last Saturday, I along with my wife went to Hogenakkal, around 160 KMs from Bangalore, totaling of 320 kms. Drive was pretty good and enjoyed a lot. Though there were bad patches of roads in between still could manage complete our trip with in a day.

The best part was the FE. I got a FE of 20.7 kmpl max with average of 19 kmpl [clap]. I am very happy with FE now [:D]. I drove mostly in 5th gear around 70-80 kmph.
