Re: Updated Hyundai Fludic Verna 1.6 SX CRDi 2013 - My White Viper!

Before buying this car my main concern was its ground clearance. But I drove through a very bad condition road, big potholes with full tank fuel loaded and also 3 ppl on the car but it went though fine, no ground touch. However I drove slowly and carefully.
Very true Soumen. I hardly have any problem with the ground clearance. It's more than adequate. Until we drive it rashly on bad roads or very high bumps, it will never touch the ground. Full marks to the car for the same. I feel they have made adjustment in the updated model. I am quite happy about it.

I have learnt one lesson here. Never rush to buy a car that is recently launched. Wait for atleast a year so that car is improved in its next version. It's same as we develop any software product. We take feedback from users for the current product and resolve the defects in it's next version. Hence result is more robust software product.

Yes but still I need to test with 5 passenger with luggage. A experience driver (professional) told me except that and if it’s a unusual big bump it wont touch the body. But it wont work like SUV GC either. In our garage we made a slope at first and we tested with a Test drive Verna and it touched with a good scratch noise. Also it could be as ours are new car and the suspension is in stiffer side, the stiffness could reduce by time. Also no where I heard Verna upgraded its suspension as up gradation, its same as earlier. But as a sedan its good enough. The wheels are big 16inch that’s a advantage also.

Exactly that is why I took this car, its my way also not to get a very recent launched car unless it’s a best brand like Honda or Toyota. I didn’t look at EcoSport for this reason also. I heard a lot about Chevrolet recall their many cars.

Congrats on our viper. Fogging of Headlights after rain? Is it on the inside? If yes, you need to check with the dealer and get them replaced.

Thanks tai_newbie! Yes fogging happens inside the headlamps. That only happens when the head light is on during rain. Else no fogging as such during day time in rain.

I feel moisture in hot air (since head light glowing) gets condensed when touches headlight glasses (must be cold when raining). The foggign disappears after some time. Consistent in both head lamps. I will check out again if that happens. Will click pics or take videos to have it as a proof.

Mine happened same with rain but no headlight on, and even once I saw little fog in a dry day without any rain. Is there anything like drain hole that could clog? All headlamp have a drain hole or something, if a hole their and outside humidity and temperature will be same then no fogging. I don’t want to change the stock headlamp. Anyone fixed this issue by themselves?

One of our member had the same problem with his amaze and had it replaced under warranty. You can find it here.

Thank you tai_newbie for the link.

I saw that thread. I will wait it to happen again. But the fogging is very negligible in my case and unlike shown in that thread. If this happens again, will talk to ASS.

Beautiful car. Congratulations.
No rains in my city so don't know if same problem persists in my car.
Are you facing fogging after a wash as well?
As for the fogging make sure you take pictures and speak with service center.
Fogging in headlamps clearly is a concern as there might be gaps in the assembly which are not visible to us. It will even reduce headlight throw.
So get them checked and replaced under warranty if same persists again.

Thank you MidKnight. Saw your thread too. Your car looks awesome in silver like Soumen's. Even I wanted a Silver but settled with white after consulting my friends and wife.

Fogging happened once. So will wait and watch. Keep updating your thread!

Thanks.
Well I loved almost every color but silver when I saw the car at showroom [Old alloy design though] but when I saw our car I was blown away. No regrets in getting silver now.
White is a lovely color but its just that I am not ready for the hardwork and do not like to give any of our cars to local wash-boy as all they do is splash water and create swirls and scratches. :lol!:
Don't forget to update your thread. [;)]

I don’t know what happened to me since the start when I was looking for a car and when I liked the Verna I was determined for White with no doubt. Even my another option was Vento and that’s White too. But just before the booking I saw a silver one and booked, however it was a non alloy which one the SA showed me, I just liked the color over white also another reason is white is very common in Sedan car. Now I think the Silver one looks best. But as per me maintaining the White is easier that is why I liked it most earlier. If scratched you can easily do touchup but with silver as its metallic and light color without workshop full paint no touchup paint will give 100% accuracy.

And you’re correct, never let the wash boy to rub on the car, their cloths and whatever they use those are very dirty. Only pressure wash is ok. So far my car in untouched by others and the surface is mirror like shiny. I love it.

Congrats on the new purchase
If the fogging is negligible than its ok. Even i had that fogging problem but it is clearly mentioned in the user manual, that some fogging may happen due to xyz reasons and if it disappears after some time, then there's nothing wrong with the headlamps.Hope that helps!

Sorry for not updating my thread for a long time.

Now a days I hardly drive my car. I need suggestion from TAI members in Bangalore. I still need to get seat covers from my car and wants them to look as close to original leather seats in SXo. Please suggest me shops where I can get good art leather seats in Bangalore.

When looking for seat cover I only found mine the closest to the original cut/style. But still it had little chocolate color. Please check my thread.

It a readymade one and genuine accessories from Hyundai and it was quoted 8k but while purchasing the reduced more, and I got it around 1k less as I didn’t installed with them. The quality is definitely good and its worthful.

Also if you want something exactly like the stock then go for a custom one.
