Thank Soumen, I really liked your seat covers. But want only in beige. I need to check with Hyundai Service here if they can help. Leather seats costs somewhere from 40K to 80K. I do not want to spend that much.

Two days before, while going to Wonder La here in Bangalore, some loose gravel hit my right side fender near the running board and I got a deep stone chip with a sharp dent.

Not sure why the car paint is such a nuisance. I never had same issue with my Swift. I will uplaod the pics soon.

40K to 80K for original leather seat cover is sounds horrible to me. Those leather type you will got from Hyundai Genuine accessories or after market they will be usable for the car’s lifetime or over 10 years. All are good and strong quality, even the stitches.
I’ve seen the seat cover range from 6.5k to 10k and all are good. Regarding the color, you may get one color cover from aftermarket but I checked the HGA the 10k one was in single color but the cutting and stitches are not the same as stock.

Yes the Hyundai body is very poor, when polishing the metal body bumping inward and outward by just hand pressure. Body paint is not very bad I think, but overall the body is not strong.

Myth,

If SXo is only 90K more, I would strongly suggest to go for the same instead of SX, as you will get leather seats that are atleast 50K aftermarket price apart from stop/start feature and projector headlamps. Aftermarket art leather (artificial leather...6-9K)can never match the OEM quality.

You want to go for a custom made seat cover? I’ve no idea about that and don’t know about its quality, but those genuine Hyundai accessories seat cover I saw those are very good quality than other aftermarket readymade covers. I tally both from market. If you want genuine Hyundai accessories seat cover then contact Bengal Hyundai Parkstreet, their price is very reasonable.

My white viper completed 4 months with 1780 kms on ODO yesterday. Loved every bit of driving my sexy car. Superb handling with amazing pick up. I can drive the car whole day without getting tired. The best thing I love in my Verna is the butter smooth gear shifts and light clutch.

However, as Bangalore is getting cold with onset of winter, fogging in the headlamps seems to become routine affair for my beast. Not sure if this happens to all Vernas. Guys please let me know if this is normal. Attaching few pics of the fogging. The fogging goes away after sometime though.

I would agree with TAIians that car got some worst headlamps. I feel my bike's (pulsar 180 - 7 years old) has better light throw than my car. I need to use fog lamps to have better visibility. As few members have suggested, I should switch to Philips extreme vision bulbs. I am not a fan of HIDs, hence will avoid those.

Guys looking for your suggestions.

It's mentioned in the service book, a lil bit of fog is normal and it should be gone after some time" you can confirm it by reading yourself.

Thank you AHC! If that's normal, I am not going to worry about it anymore [clap]. But I could not get the details as mentioned by you in the service book. I did search for few times.

Hyundai cars are not worthy spending your precious money on. Please do not trust Hyundai Motors. They have been misleading their customers. Read and see how they have been penalised for falsely claiming the mileage of their cars: Hyundai and Kia set aside $412 million for false mileage claims - Autoblog
Hi Rajat,

I think you should never come to conclusion by reading news around internet.

Frankly speaking, few years back I was a fan of Maruti cars (1st car I owned is a swift). I would recommend everyone for Maruti. Then, two years back, when my brother wanted to buy a car, we thought of test driving other companies products just to make sure. Then I loved the way Hyundai i10 performed and the ease of driving. Interior felt premium than Maruti. So recommended him to get i10. I drove his car for around 6 months and my perception towards Hyundai completely changed. I loved the car every bit of it.

Then came instance, when I was staying with my friends before marriage, my room mate bought a new next gen i20. After driving the car, I felt one of best car manufacturer in India is Hyundai with premium products they offer. Somehow, I started moving my likeness towards Hyundai more than Maruti. (Yes, I agree no one can match Maruti ASS, but Hyundai is not far behind either.)

Now being a proud owner of Verna, I am just mad about the car. I do have complains but that normal for any car to have some niggles.

As far as mileage is concerned, i10 and i20 gives decent mileage and even my Verna also give pretty good mileage to my expectation, if not more.

Cheers,

Yea mine is same, inside garage with little humidity change it creates fogs inside, max time when engine is heat.

For the light issue I always drive with the headlamp and foglamp on and it provides enough lights. Also during a highway ride I sometime adjust the light through and that helps.

Thanks Soumen. Hope this will not cause any problem in long term.

I am planning to switch to Philips extreme vision 60/55. Any suggestions on this will be welcome.

Strangely the "strange" noise from driver side door is no more occurring. So I am happy about it.

My tomorrow plan is to wash the car (on vacation till new year). Also need to wash the car cover. Its damn dirty. I feel dirty cover is creating minute scratches on roof rails.

Yes I too hope so it wont do any damages in future, also I see it only fogged the indicator bulb area so no issues with the visibility.

I don’t have any idea about this bulbs, you can ask Nick he has used those, as far as I remember.

Rattle noise only occurs due to loosen parts, if its gone it may appear again. If its door only two thing can produce noise, either wires or the loosen power window motor.

Have a nice vacation ahead, hope you will give your car a good run during this vacation. I’ve only one day off (25th)[roll]. Yes keep the cover clean, also try to keep clean the cover inside area, if outside is dirty that’s fine. Whenever I takeout the car before keep it in garage I always use Jopasu duster to remove the dust and then put the cover on. With Jopasu duster it takes max 2 minutes. If I don’t have time, I leave it without cover, but never put the cover over dust.

Finally after a week, I cleaned and polished my car [clap]. It took me 4 hours of hard labor to make the car showroom finish. Used Colin diluted with water to clean the paint surface and used Colin concentrated to clean the glasses. Used newspaper for the 1st time to clean glasses and the result is astonishing [surprise]. I will be using paper hence forth to clean glasses. Used formula one wax to polish my car. Not a great product but not bad either. Used MF gloves to polish the car to shine.

Also cleaned the car cover using washing machine. Did not clean properly but I was not in a position to wash it myself [roll].

Attached few pics of my white viper.
