Yeah, I remember.

Currently I am working with Duratech for paint protection, Armor all heavy duty for car shampoo, Formula 1 Carnauba Wax paste and Meguiars Quick detailers polish for touch up on wax.

Have given up on starting a car detailing thing. Main reason not able to get proper time for the same.

The car accessory guy from where I got the Hellas installed was telling about a super light window film with good performance, he said that till now none of his customers have complained that they were stopped because of the film.
Could you please share me the brand/varient/price/% temp blockage/details of that film too. This is for my firend's car.Does that guy told anything about heat reduction?

The films are of Lumar for 3800 and 4800 (with anti glare) for front screen of xuv and HillShield for sides and Rear glass costing around 9000 for XUV. He will send me the model of the same.
For the Hill Shield ones he is claiming good performance.
There is also one from Bloponkt costing 3200 for sides and rear of xuv. no series as such average performance.

Sharpshooter -> This is a very very proven product - one of the best in the world - so no risk involved whatsoever. I have used this only once in the past, hard part is to source it, but thankfully there are some options now.

Popularly it is known as Collinite 845!

Ok, so what is this wonderful product supposed to do? Am further intrigued since the label reads 'for aero and marine use'!

Pardon me for not googling ;-)

Its basically a wax(one of the best though which our vehicles deserve [:D]), i have meguair currently that i use, and i have been looking for this for a while - it is for DIY detailing - its effect is nearly as good as a paint sealant and lasts longer than conventional wax.

Ignore the aero and marine use thing - its just bottled in a separate way for that industry, its the same automotive Collinite 845! I bought this bottle as it was discounted to 1500 bucks!

Ok, so am not a guy who really cleans his own cars (too lazy etc). Do you have a bit of a cheat sheet for this wax: how do you get it done (esp if not by yourself), how frequently, any other instructions?

i am borderline lazy too

If you need to read a bible on car detailing : here is the link

As far as i am concerned, I do the 3M thing once an year, and i wax the car once or twice a quarter - depending on the state myself.

My steps are simple :-

1) Wash throughly with shampoo and dry
2) Once its dry use a wax in circular motion with with either an applicator or microfiber cloth in a shaded place.
3) Let it remain for a little bit but dont let it dry out completely
4) use a separate microfiber cloth in circular motion and clean up to a shine.

Thats a lazy people guide towards car waxing![:D]

Mitsubishi Motors has an advert in today's Times of India, Mumbai edition.
Seeking a channel partner for sales, service & spares in Mumbai to cover South & Central Mumbai.
Showroom space 2000 - 2500 sq ft. With 35 - 50 ft frontage in prime location.
Workshop space 3000 - 3500 sq ft.

Guess they want to get serious again in Mumbai & India.
Only time will tell

Ironrock, I took a TD of Pajero Sport AT today. Loved the suspension of the car. But coming from XUV, I found the space in front seats to be very limited. Its not cramped by any means, i can only term it as adequate for my heavy build. Since you own a XUV as well, how do you find Pajero's space?

And, How about the sound quality? For normal hearing, I found Pajero's kenwood music sounded a bit plain compared to XUV.

Sorry for my late revert, its been some crazy travel. Chalk and Cheese comparison but since you are an XUV owner it is but inevitable. The knee room for a driver appears to be limited but once you adjust the seat you kinda get used to it. I have known tall drivers having no complaints. Next time you TD it make sure you explore the entire range of the seats. I find the Pajero seats comfortable for long driving, XUV ones are too, well contoured as well.
You will find the clutch extremely heavy though coming from XUV.

Pajero width is limited , so expect it to be not as spacious as XUV - but for 3 average adults its fine. The second row his adjustable to help with space management.

The stock kenwood system is surely better than the stock XUV system - even for my very average non audiophile ears. XUV radio is especially is poor sounding, thats where the PS is way better.

So are you looking to purchase a PS ?[:D]

XUV in totally different class, also the engine of XUV along with its reliability of suspension and other components is no match for the Pajero. With right set of tires like Yoko Geo ATS, Pajero can do some serious off road and not come with broken tie rods, try that with your XUV at your peril.
