@ jayadev, I have seen some cool diffusers for built-in flash, which can be fixed to the hot shoe on the net.

Do you have any idea about that?
I have bought a diffuser long ago and sparingly used, the reason: they are not at all useful for normal Photography.
they tend to reduce the exposure by more than 3 stops which means you either you need larger aperture or need to play with higher iso rating compromising picture quality.

best option is diy card board diffusers (white visiting cards)and reflectors.

It is just a general advice from my own experience for beginners and amateurs.

diffusers are worth for studio or lab like conditions or else if you know about it really well.

I don't generally use flash. Where I work, we have a setup with good soft boxes.

I was interested in this diffuser, for my D90, for occasions where family/friends gather indoor/night where the use of built-in flash throw harsh light, which spoils the whole picture.

So i believe you Know what is it all about photography and flash (in depth).

I will prefer some improvisation any day over a diffuser or bounce it.

You might have noticed those Pro Photographers in live shows using tissue paper, hanky ,visiting cards, cigarette packets and what not..all of them have different reflection coefficients and serve well.

With your vast experience you can help newbies to DSLR how to take better pictures and improve their skills.

I have started a thread where people can post their pictures and experts like you can show them ways of improving their output.
http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/gadgets-more/5866-dslr-how-make-your-photos-stand-out.html

Why don't you give some tips on DOP, Flash usage, HDR, night photography, metering - which to use for what occations, exposure compensation, fine tuning the camera settings,ISO, when to use aperture priority, when to use shutter priority, etc.
