whats wrong with people always says TAXI.. TAXI... TAXI... when it comes to TATA its not the only manufacturer in the country that sells cars to fleet operators we have several other manufacturers too like Maruti Swift Dezire and Dzire tour and Hyndai Xcent nowaydays more popularly used car by fleet guys but people never say single word they blindly accept it but when it comes TATA their voice raises without any knowledgable sence please to dont do comments without owing anything about productivity

Buddies, I believe debating or assuming the fate of TATA car as taxi is of no point. That is a foregone conclusion.However, the reason why TATA cars are popular in fleet business is because of their strength to survive harsh handling and diverse terrains easily. TATA cars as a product are not bad rather its time now that customers also start to re-think and evaluate the car on its merits rather than general perception.

When anyone says TAXI it should be understood that such a car is reliable, easy on maintenance, high on mileage and can undergo any kind of abuse. so in other words what more can one ask for from a car.
for that matter TOYOTA LIVA, INNOVA, COROLLA are also used as TAXIS,
MUMBAI AND DELHI Is filled with santro as taxis.
so its not TATA alone that is a TAXI but others as well.

Absolutely correct there Nitin. For instance, aren't we seeing Chevrolet Enjoy, Tavera, Mahindra Scorpio, Ford Aspire and old gen Figo, Lodgy et al being used as Taxi? Isn't BMW, Jaguar and Mercedes cars being used in Taxi? Branding a single brand as TAXI Brand is incorrect. It is to be taken in TATA's perspective also that they are providing their cars for TAXI segment. It is due to their reliability their cars are prominent in fleets. As a consumer's point of view, as we have been seeing TATA cars in fleet for more than a decade hence our perception is like that. Based on customer's perception, TATA as a brand has been suffering and now with upcoming products too they'll certainly go in TAXI but that doesn't mean their cars are only meant for TAXI. TATA has won the trust but has to make more efforts in improving its image further and improvement of TATA's image does require our support to them as customers. We as customers have to evaluate their products wisely and not go by what we often see on roads. Do we customers/enthusiasts ever label Benz, Audi, Jaguar as TAXI brands? Do we as customers ever stop admiring these products? Do the customers ever stop buying Audi or Benz or Jaguar simply because they saw either of them in commercial plates? The answer is NO. So when we provide these brands a fair chance then why not TATA?

Wow Looks stunning, but people on other forum already complaining on build quality. Seriously people just try so hard to put down Tata Products.
For me Tata has a winner in hand, the color looks smashing.

People who support tata Motors, they are well knowledged about cars and their market strategy because they love to know each and every able tata. How many people observed that people show more intrest getting into that products information, Mahindra don't have such response whenever they start working on new product. People won't express their views much but when it comes tata it's different story they can't sleep to see final product in sunshine.

They are the same people who consider all things foreign as God's gift and criticize anything Indian. Later on they will complain like hell about their German cars. I believe this is gonna be a hell of an effort from Tata and will undercut other cars in pricing.

Cars like Alto 800 and K10, Eon, Kwid will certainly be affected. Will KITE come in a diesel version too? Just like AMT in Alto, will KITE also get an AMT?

Even the same people think that Maruti is Gods own Car and buy it like crazy just for resale & service. Cant those people think of to buy the car for driving comfort and how safe the car is ?
