Hello sir. The XE is utterly basic without even power windows. I would like to suggest you to upgrade to atleast the xm(o) variant. Regarding the 13 inch wheels, there are few xm owners in the Tiago owners group, which I manage. If you are interested to join the group, you can share your fb profile id so that I can m add you. You can discuss your queries with owners directly.

After 5 long weeks from booking date, my Tiago XZ Petrol was ready for PDI. Thanks to TAI and this forum for the exhaustive PDI checklist, though I could not perform all of them during the limited time I had.

Odometer reads just 12 KMs. Check!

Car is from latest production batch. G->2016 and E->May. Check!
IMAG0038.jpg

Good Year Assurance tires. Small rubber needles noted. Check!
IMAG0033.jpg

Tires manufactured in 18th week of 2016, i.e., 1st week of May. Check!
IMAG0035.jpg

Spare wheel was also Good Year.
IMAG0043.jpg

Under the hood. Fired up the Revotron and noticed it dancing around in the bay. However, most of it is filtered out inside the cabin (at least to me). Check!
IMAG0051.jpg

First aid kit and manuals in Glove Box.
IMAG0049.jpg

Now for the glitches:
Parcel tray holder was not in place. Asked them to put it back before delivery as this didn't look like a big issue to me.
IMAG0046.jpg

Rear right door had visible white spots that appeared to be paint but it came off with a slightly firm wipe with bare hands. Asked this to be cleaned too.
IMAG0047.jpg

No noticeable panel mis-alignments. As with most display cars I checked, quarter panel is slightly outward from the front doors when sliding my palm over that panel gap. I guess I will live with it.
IMAG0034.jpg

Other Tiago's lined up waiting for their owners [:)]
IMAG0055.jpg

Didn't spend much time on interiors/seats as they were wrapped in plastic covers from factory. Overall, I am satisfied with my Tiago and made the payment for registration process. Expecting delivery next week! [:D]

Got these from my SA who claims this happened in a hill station (Ooty, Tamil Nadu) at 60 ish KMPH. Appears to have hit a pole. Unfortunate for a brand new car to go through this.
Quite a nasty hit, and the Tiago's safety kit has worked big time, hope the occupants were safe.

Thanks for sharing.

Hope the passengers didn't get major injuries.
But the car body appears strong enough,as we do not see any damage to the car dash board, but based on the dent on the front it looks like a big accident.

I must say, Tiago has taken the hit very well and I am happy that Tata has not compromised on safety[clap]. I was scared by seeing the latest NCAP crash results of few Indian cars. Happy to note that, Tiago's body shell is intact after the hit, which ensures that the occupants wearing seat belts may suffer only minimum injuries.

Well tiago has taken the hit very well, though no ncap test has been done on Taigo looking at this accident and that there is no deformation of any other side fenders I am mighty impressed with Tiagos build quality and structural strength.

Airbags deployed so dashboard has to be changed, bonnet has to be changed front bumper to be changed. glass broken that has to be chnaged. rest all intact.

Great engineering i would say.
