Atulz welcome to TAI. Read your post I would suggest you to go for Tiago as its VFM, and lot of features and most important thing is SAFETY. We're as i10 grand is in another segment car.

Going through various forums n discussions, observed one thing that no buyer is comparing Tiago with celerio but other cars segment above. That is what beauty of Tiago.
but let's accept the thing that many people do doubt about 3 cyl. engine. & air-con performance.
IMO, Tiago is already tested at VRDE & prooved it's reliability. About air-con problem, I hope Tata Motors have already aware about the problem & will take actions on it.
Overall, Tiago will be better choice, always.

Tiago is not cheap car ---> Its the myth peak out on it..
If you need power window front and 14 inch wheel you need to put 5.0L..
But Figo base and Brio base offer equivalent with much value
I had great expectation, but after driving, its very poor after 100kmph..Full drag in engine.
May be for mileage they completely lost it. Also I don't know how they put National record, Avg 129kmph??...

Somewhere in past I have said these Japanese and Koreans know the art of fooling we Indians. They just have to take copper polish it, make it shine then put there logo and say it's gold . Indians will believe but if TATA sells silver saying silver we are not ready to buy because for us Japanese and Koreans are selling gold LOL. Now in simple word Tiago has to be compared with celerio or i10 but no one is doing they r comparing it with i10 grand, Figo some even with swift. if it's 1st time car buyer I can understand, some magazines like overdrive is comparing Tiago with i10 grand lol and Vedic Hyundai has Better engine Teago is 3 pot engine and I 10 grand is 4 pot engine. In that case why can't they compare Eon and Tiago or in simple Tiago with i10 they look for a place to pull TATA down where ever possible. My friend is regretting now for buying celerio after driving Tiago.
Yesterday we had couple of rounds (gerhi) in my friends Tiago and boy lot of people glaring it like a hot girl wearing mini.
Lot of them enquired about it and friend was really happy.
He said that "mere paise wasool ho gaye" as he never got this kind of attention even in Elantra which is his Dad's ride and can fetch 4 Tiagos of one Elantra's cost.
Coming to Tiago he is happy with the compact footprint and ease of driving. The steering is amazing and the power is available whenever required. Surely cars you mentioned may offer better value as long as comparison is limited to power windows and 14 inch wheels only.
However a car consists of more than power windows and 14 inch wheel. Safety features, music system are also important.
End of the day customer needs to decide what is his requirement. If performance above 100kmph is important then one should go with a car that matches it.

Yes.. Baleno we get Standard Front Pwr windows+abs+airbag @6Lak Chennai.. So in above my only missing is music system.
I don't know why ppl totally detoriate celerio. Celerio interior is poor quality platics, But do mind it offers 14inch across plus gem K10 engine, which is used in Wagonr and many other models I can go 130+ without much ease.

In Delhi on road price difference is about 45000 rupees between Tiago XZ & Baleno Sigma 1.2

1. Central Locking
2. Child safety lock
3. Rear power windows
4. Rear defogger (important in Delhi)
5. Fog lamps
6. Driver seat height adjustment
7. Rear wiper
8. Headlights height adjustment

TIAGO not just has Celerio, i10 in its radar, people are even comparing the same as rightly put by @KoroLP, to a segment or 2 above like Figo, Swift, Baleno, well done team TML.
I know only one think. balone below top end costs 7.30 lakh on road and tiago top end costs 5.60 lakh on road.and tiago gives better mileage than baleno for sure. i have driven it in bumper to bumper traffic in bangalore city in ECO mode. great. i like it. ya of course. i felt it's not super silent like baleno as its a 3 pot engine but surely once you cross 40kmh its silent and you won't feel its NOISY. the main weapon of anti tiago's..its a super driving experience. and about reliability after 2 to 3yrs need to look in to that. thanks
