Any particular reason in asking for change of tyres from GoodYear to Bridgestone ?
Bridgestone tyres are world 2nd largest tyre maker, known for good quality and with more life and grip. price difference between goodyear & bridgestone 300-500 rs per tyre( depends on model). even goodyear also good, but given choice i would prefer Bridgestone over goodyear

Does anyone know how navigation app works??how to download it..?
Tiago's ICE integrates with your smartphone (Android only) and displays/speaks directions via HU. Your smartphone acts as the actual GPS except that maps are downloaded offline during setup and no mobile data is used when you drive.

In my opinion, Google Maps does the same job (except it uses mobile data) when connected to the Harman via Bluetooth. In fact, it has better UI and real time traffic data in my opinion.

The steps are detailed in Tiago's ConnectNext user manual. You can get the PDF version from Tata Motors website.

Want a clarification on this point. I was told by SA if you book now price will not be increased at the time of delivery (except in the case of Tax increase). So which statement is correct?

hi biplab,
The price of your car will depend on when and date at which the company dispatches or bills the car to the dealer. i.e, say your dealer makes a payment on 31st march and price increases on April 1st . Then technically you are entitled to get the lower price. Pls check the dealer invoice of your car if at all there is a price rise just before your delivery.
Thankyou

THIS POST I FOUND ON OTHER BLOG. Hi All,

Really happy to inform you all that TATA motors have one person who's job is to read all the online reviews about Tiago and best part is, this person follows team-bhp regularly and takes the feedback given in here for further processing

I have been posting feedback's given by our fellow bhp'ians on Twitter and based on the post's this person who works for Tata motors called me, asking for more details about the concerns.

Had a long talk and gave all possible feedback's. I stressed on the AC and performance of the petrol tiago.

Regarding poor AC performance:
AC they say could be one of the cases but DEFINITELY not an issue on all Tiago's but yes they are contacting all showrooms and having them check the AC.

Regarding the Petrol tiago's Performance:
All he had to say was "people who drive more powerful car will definitely feel the power is less. Since I own a Nano, he suggested me to test drive the car and give feedback on the performance.

Regarding product knowledge of showroom representatives (sales personal):
That is being taken care of by conducting monthly refresher course to the showroom staff and also conducting audits by send Tata motors personal as a customer.

Summary: TATA is watching our feedback's closely.

May be someone can take an initiative to collate the concern's/feedback's they have w.r.t Tiago and then post it on Twitter.

Even Behram sir is pretty active on forums even he give suggestions and express thoughts as well.

However Tata need a proactive approach rather than reactive.

AC not effective was a blunder, whether its few cars or one or issue with dealer maintainance.

Why mostly with Tata?
And no deliveries of diesel model till date? Why to launch a product when you can't deliver.

Whoever said A/C is bad, they must confirm it before putting up in forum. I have gone for couple of TDs at scorching 40+ days and not once I felt it bad. On both TD cars, it work just fine, although a bit noisy.

Well AC is not an issue in the Tiago.

You put it on Eco mode the AC will be lower, Obviously for the reason on better FE. Performance too will be on a down side.

Put it on City mode then see the AC performance. The car also becomes Peppy to drive.

The only thing that canbe considered as downer for Tiago is the 3 pot engine with along with benefits of great FE has a downside of being noisy and vibrative. But when you rev petrol engine higher the vibrations come down drastically. So Again that is a bargain you will have to make.

I guess I am reiterating what has been already being mentioned in these 1500+ posts.

Yesterday I joined TAI-ger Prabhagar ji for a test drive of the Petrol Tiago till their yard, which is around 10kms from the showroom. It was peak afternoon heat. The car had already 5000kms on the odo.
This is the first time I drove the Tiago for a satisfyingly longer time and distance. So here is my review:
The SA brought the car after fuelling up and we set off. Prabhagar ji drove the car towards the yard and I was in the front passenger seat. I almost felt like travelling in a Premium hatchback with the subtly comfortable ride, very low NVH and fantabulous audio system.
Prabha ji wanted to choose a color for his booking and so he wanted to see the cars in sunlight. He became even more confused between the Orange and Blue colors as both impressed him.

While returning to the showroom, I took control of the wheel. I am thoroughly impressed. There were extremely nil vibrations. All those vibrations when I experienced when the car was new had vanished. The gear-lever was vibe-free and no rattle from any part as well. There were a bit of vibrations on the pedals though, but not very noticable unless you are keen. True, the interiors weren't as well maintained and were very much abused by the customers, but still, nothing had come off or rattled. Everything was as high-quality as I had seen the car for the first time.
I started to accelelrate and it was absolutely smooth to rev. On moderately free roads, I happened to reach speeds of 70kmph and it was easy to reach there as well. There is no hesitation at all from the Revotron unit, despite being a 3 cylinder unit. Even at 3500 rpm, It didn't feel exessively loud or coarse. It was a soothing growl. So, this clears the NVH doubts. The Tiago, just like any other 3 cylinder car, smoothens out after a few thousand kms on the odo.
The AC was effective enough, but took few minutes to cool the cabin completely. It wasn't as bad as the complaints mentioned. All cars take similar time to cool in such sweltering weather.

Special mention must be made of the Steering and control stalks. I am completely in love with this steering setup as it is light, but at the same time, not as toy-like as on Hyundai cars. It had the right amount of feedback and amazing control. As the speeds build up, the car becomes fun to drive. There is very very NIL amount of vagueness around the centre ahead position. Beautifully calibrated steering system by Tata! All the control stalks felt of high quality and I felt immediately at ease with the car. Everything is ergonomically placed and easy to operate. I felt like I could drive the car all the way to Chennai and back again in one day, without fatigue.
I am completely impressed by the Tiago Petrol. Hats off to Tata Motors for creating this absolutely fantastico car with global quality levels. I only wish that the TD cars were a bit better maintained regarding interior cleanliness.
People thinking of going for Tiago, definitely go for it. It is just too impressive. Loved it.
Don't worry about NVH issues; it gets smoothened out after a couple thousand kms on the odo.

Next time, I will try to test drive the diesel Tiago and post my drive review.

Other Points:
1. Deliveries in Tamil Nadu will probably begin on 15th May onwards. Reason for the delay was due to RTO approval.
2. No news on Red color yet.
3. Apporximately 120 bookings garnered for Tiago from the SRT showroom only.

The second lot of Tiagos had just arrived. Some pics to feast the eyes upon:
