Well, below are the mileage figures that I observed from 1000kms of my Zest ride:
ECO:
Loose Traffic: 13-15kmpl
B2B Traffic: 8-10kmpl
Highway: 17-118.5kmpl
CITY:
Loose Traffic: 8-10kmpl
B2B Traffic: 5-8kmpl
Highway: 12-14kmpl
All are in 100% AC. No matter what the mode is I was handling it very delicately with utmost concentration going in very low speeds.
Had a discussion with the executive from Concorde Motors and sending it to the mileage test this Saturday. Once the first service is done and still if I see similar mileages, I will be going forward and raising a complaint against the TATA motors/Concorde Motors in Consumer Court for promising a wrong mileage figures of 15kmpl in City with CITY mode. :)
New Update:

Went on a 800 kms drive on highway

100-120 kmph. Mostly was on 110kmph with ECO mode on and AC turned on 100%. Returned a mileage of 15.1kmpl

Any Suggestions? On why the mileage was less? I dont think that increasing 10-20 kmph speed will decrease 2.5 kmpl as per mileage from ARAI?

Try the same next time with 80-90 Kmph. It will return better mileage. 15.1 with above 100 Kmph with AC should be fine IMO.
But, isn't the ARAI mileage given for CITY Mode? which should come around 17.6 kmpl? I got a 15.1 in ECO mode which is not acceptable?

Last time I checked on CITY mode with 100% AC on I was getting 12 kmpl only.

And for sports don't you even ask about it.

And also on the ORR where the Speed Limit is given as 140 kmph on the boards, if i go on 80-90 kmph , people will yell at me while overtaking me and also its risky if you go slow on a road where you are supposed to maintain atleast 100-110 kmph. Just my opinion. :)

But the ARAI testing doesn't take place with that speed right ? If you want a good mileage you need to stick to 80-100 Kmph. Else enjoy the ride with 100+ without worrying about mileage.

In fact ARAI testing is not even for mileage. They just check the engine and don't even move the car for it. Go through the below link for more information.

Forgot to mention about the feedback call i received few days back.

I should say this was one hell of a survey. Reason being, the call lasted for 28 mins. Yes close to half an hour of questions which needed a YES or NO and ratings from 1-10.

Questions were classified on all the gateways from booking to delivery. Almost everything you can think of was considered in this survey. The moment when I got to know that this was regarding the survey, I asked them why are we having multiple calls for survey and I have already given many, To which he replied that, this survey is conducted by a third party agency and covers almost everything right from booking to delivery and will be given to TML.

Sample topics covered are listed below based on my memory. All the below topics were covered separately which had 5-6 questions answered in a YES or NO. After this, how you rate on a scale of 1-10 for the same topic.

Booking formalities including paper work, notification etc
Test drive vehicle condition, availability, SA accompanying while test drive, explaining features after test drive.
Pro-active communication of delivery date, colour options, variant options given
Children play area availability at the dealer location, cleanliness of the dealer area, service assistant. Yes !! they asked about how he was dressed and did you find it pleasing etc kind of questions.
Questions and rating on Waiting period, receiving your family at dealer, Coffee, snacks offered/provided when you went to book/take delivery
Time taken to reach the dealer locality
Loan process, options given, paper work etc
Insurance options, paper work etc
Delivery date communication, convenience of the delivery time, availability of accessories mentioned earlier
Calling you for PDI process, form 22 communication, RTO paper work etc
Photo session and a small celebration moment
Explanation/demo of features, knowledge of SA, doubts clarified. final call made to a toll free number.
Overall experience, feedback and areas of improvement.

So imagine answering 5-6 questions on all the above and rating 5-6 statements related to the same. It was exhaustive for sure. The guy at the other end was telling to rate individually and not to overlap other experiences for other topics.
Hope TML receives the real feedback needed and improve on each lacking process. I had purchased an OMNI earlier and even Maruthi didn't have such an exhaustive survey. TML are for sure on the right track. I wish them success.

In my first service they upgraded the Software. A software upgrade, but the SA wasn't sure of what all were fixed/tuned with this.

Hi Guys,

Just got a call from chennai concorde tata motors to bring the vehicle for Harman music system upgrade. The upgrade is free of cost and informed by tata to do it on existing vehicle. when i checked with the service guy about the nature of upgrade he is not sure.

Has any zest owner got similar call from dealership ? if yes what is the upgrade being done to existing Harman system?
Hi,

Just now i talked with TaTa Motors person about updating firmware, he told it is not for all vehicles, only for few no of , which are having some hang issue in Harmon system. Harman released software update. so now they are applying effected zests.

Also he confirmed that tyre pressure should be 34psi and a sticker will be pasted when vehicle comes for service.

Thanks for the information Ravi. I had my first service recently on Jan 10. The firmware was updated in general. The SA told that this would be done to all the vehicles coming for first service though he didn't have any idea on what would it fix. Might be minor bug fixes which we haven't come across.

However there was no mention of 34 psi for the tyres. I am hearing this from many sources. Concorde being Tata subsidiary would be the last to get the changes I feel. Lethargic fellows. I even enquired about Mud In Engine issue, they didn't have any clue about the fix. I told KHT and other dealers are getting fixes for it but you guys don't even know about it. He told he will get back to me after checking with Tata and as usual they don't.

Yup I know and told him about it. The parts haven't arrived at Concorde dealer Mysore Road and hence they don't know what it is. My data connection wasn't working at their location else would've shown the fix in picture.

Hey Don Lohith,
How's your Zest doing. Hoping that it's at its best and running fine and giving the brand new Tata image to its customers. Well when I went to see the car(before launch promotions), even I was surveyed. But surprisingly they asked me about which all features I prefer. Few questions to name are Reverse parking sensors or Reverse camera, Keyless start or key etc.I guess this survey is being taken up for a facelift. By the way how is your aftersales experience. Tata is taking steps slowly to improve on this regard I believe as when I sent my Manza for an eye watering 43.5 k service I got a feedback call Regarding the service. So waiting to see more of your Zestful memories.

Hi everyone. I am new to the forum. I recently bought zest XT petrol version. I have one query about FATC of it. When temp is set higher like 29 degrees I can feel hot air only from vents near foot only. Other vents I feel cool air. Is there a problem? Or otherwise?

Hi Nepo88,

Its quite normal. 29 is too hot to expect cold air. So the FATC gives you mixture of cool and hot air to make the cabin 29 deg. Its completely normal behaviour and nothing to worry.
