My petrol xms (beige) has come to the dealer and he is saying pay half amount this month to block the car

But i wanted the delivery on Dec 2 on my wedding day

I am scared to give half payment to dealer this month as he may use car (maybe) till remaining period.

Confused as if i refuse, then as people are saying beige xms is in short supply

advice please

I would suggest pay the complete amount and take the delivery of the car. You are getting the color of your choice. Dont keep the car with the dealer after paying half the amount. If you have a secured parking , you can keep the car under cover in your parking till your wedding day. Dec 2 is just few weeks away. You could also take the car for drives at nights.

Well there a few options for you.

1. Pay half the amount. Do a proper PDI and then take KEYS home. Let the car be parked safely in the YARD.

2. Pay the amount and take the car with you..

3. Pay amount. check the odo reading. And forget about it. Come back on periodic basis to check the car and that its not being used (test drive) allotted to some other person.

Vaibhav,

Pay the amount and bring it home. Do you think dealer will take more care than you if you leave it there? 2nd Dec is 1.5 months from here. Even if you take the keys (I am sure, dealer will not allow) or note the odo what is the guarantee that car will not be gathering dust and rust in dealer's stockyard.

a very simple solution by which i smashed the daylight out of DD motors when they dint give my dexire LDI, a few years back

File a complaint at Online Consumer Forum | Resolve Consumer Complaints | Akosha and pay them Rs 800 as fees

They will screw dealer and tata via legal channel and i am sure very soon the dealer will beg in front of you to give the car

thanks vaibhav, i think this is the best option to handle these situation. i have complained this issue to tata, if they will not give me reply soon, i will go for this.

from where you booked your car, and when? never give any payment to dealer until they don't give you chassis no. once you gave them payment, they start neglecting you.

Yes i think it will be best to pay money at end of month and take delievery early next month. Will think of where to park the car

Odometer allowed should be the distance between stockyard and the showroom. Add few KMs if stockyard in not in outskirts and lorries can not reach to it.

Also, the distance of nearest RTO office should be added.

No i could not cancel my booking because the loan agent is not allowing me to change brand now. And if i go for foreclose my loan i have to pay 30000 rs. Feeling like i am trapped. Dont know what to do, thinking about legal help.

Okay had a talk with fiance. They are not okay with taking delivery of car now. They saying take it on wedding day and straight from showroom to the venue ..

So in all likelihood will try to delay the 50% payment as late as possible. Will do a PDI of my car in the next 6-7 days (maybe after diwali)

:( would have been better if car came 15 days later
