today I called all dealer in delhi as a new customer, every one is ready to give me delivery before diwali for XT rt and in 15 days for XMS rt. this proved that they are giving ready delivery to new customers and not giving to others who have booked earlier? all are corrupted. if we are waiting for 2 months, the only reason is our cars is being given to their new customers.

Whoever is promising you to give delivery around diwali or even before diwali is telling a big lie. If indeed true, just tell them to give you engine# and chassis# and see what their response is.

ofcourse they will not give me these nu on phone and before payment. but one proof in favour of my statment is mail2gsyadav, who did use the same tactic and get early delivery.

Sorry drdpk, but my case was altogether different. I got early delivery not because of some tactics but due to involvement of Tata Management.

Though Concorde was ready to deliver in a week time, but they couldn't. So we had a meeting with Tata TSM and he arranged our zest from AutoVikas. I am sure, this zest would have been alotted to someone else as it was already lying in stockyard.

it means not only dealer but tata management is also involved in this. it is even more worse then i thought.[frustration]

No no no. You are getting it wrong. Tata TMS was involved to resolve my escalation about the wrong doing by dealer. When dealer had committed to deliver the car by 20th Sep, he must deliver it.

However, I support your thought that there is no, well laid out process of delivering the cars according to the booking. It totally depends on dealer who he wants to give preference to. Also, dealers come to know about the lot only when it is ready to be dispatched to them.

Finally Whitey is home:
It was late in the evening when we went to take delivery and it was all dark. The registration number will be coming today afternoon.

Mud flaps, mats were ready and it was fixed.
Mud flaps are thin but thank god it doesn't spoil the looks.
Mats are decent, it is the same ZEST labelled in RED which we've seen in reviews.
Spare alloy wheel was not there and he promised me to get it within 2-3 days.
Puddle lamps are available but the accessory guy doesn't know how to fit it [clap] So they are calling a guy from Concorde Dairy circle and will get it done.

4 service coupons, 4th blank for 45k kms are present. Someone reported only 3 were given to him. This is for the Silver AMC which is free of cost. I haven't opted for Gold AMC. The SA confirmed that 4th service coupon for 45k is free and can be availed under Silver AMC.

Will cover the rest of the stuff in the ownership review. Overall delivery went perfectly fine.

Hello all,
a small update. today was at the showroom to do the PDI of my vehicle.
But their ends the happy part.[cry] when i first saw the vehicle from outside. it was very nice and good. but the sad part started when i open the boot lid. the spare tyre was found to be used, the front cup holder had scratches on the piano black area,the engine bay had rust in few places and finally had AC heater not working !!!![confused] at this stage i decided to stop [frustration]and said NO....
So not getting the delivery tomorrow
What I really wanna say is, few forums say only check the exteriors... but i say check everything as much as possible. Had I not checked it in detail. I would have landed with a lemon.

They have promised to get another vehicle , if this time i dont feel it write im gonna cancel the booking and move to someother OEM.

If TATA guys are listens. Please concentrate on your QC
This is really pathetic attitude from the dealer. pls put up your experience at FB page of zest along with the dealer details. TATA will take note of it and it will also reach broader audience. Dealers needs to be treated with some 'stick' by TATA , then only they will do justice with the effort's TATA has put in this car

Come on guys, the SAs are telling me that there have been many Zest deliveries in Pune/PCMC.
I have seen one blue with number plate so far(except seen at showrooms).
No one from pune reported ownership reviews yet on TAI[surprise] ? I am seeing it's pouring zests from Bangalore [clap]
Pune guys come on, pls share your experiences , specially the dealership and overall buying in Pune. also with snaps.

Congrats Don on your new Whitey!
You car does look grand in white. If you could add the black claddings around the wheels and below the doors ( iguess they come as accessories) the car will look like a high end luxury sedan.
