Tata Zest Test Drive and Review

Thanks all. but my query still remains unanswered !
I was asking --> if it's worth to go for ex-warranty or gold AMC for zest ? which one to choose ?
I don't have much idea about the maintenance during first few years. so your opinion will certainly help . Thanks !

I haven't opted for both of them.

Gold AMC, because my usage is less and I don't foresee failures of the clutch, brake etc. in 3 years. If your usage is on highr side, you can think about it.

Extended warranty, because I have the option open till 421 days.

I haven't opted for the Gold AMC for the same reason. If you have lot of usages and frequently hit the highway you can consider Gold AMC. Else it wouldn't be necessary IMO.
However I have opted for extended warranty.
You can still think for 90 days and based on your usage you can decide.

Just came from the dealer. At last I could see my Whitey in the garage.
Did a PDI. Didn't find any issues. Checked the mud issue. This hasn't been driven much so no such mud deposit
None of the accessories are available till now.
Tomorrow around 5 PM Whitey will be with me.

I'm someone who went "awe" when TML showcased two new products on Feb 3. That was soon after they lost their vibrant leader Karl.
That feeling kept rising through out and after the media drives at Goa, the feeling was something else. It was just like the coke ready to burst from the bottle. When the prices came out on August 12 it just burst out

For a loyal Tata follower and supporter of Swadesi brands, I'm more than happy seeing the number of Zests getting reported here at TAI.

Karl Slym. You were the change. We can now feel that change. (Atleast on the product front)

Hello all,
a small update. today was at the showroom to do the PDI of my vehicle.
But their ends the happy part. when i first saw the vehicle from outside. it was very nice and good. but the sad part started when i open the boot lid. the spare tyre was found to be used, the front cup holder had scratches on the piano black area,the engine bay had rust in few places and finally had AC heater not working !!!! at this stage i decided to stop and said NO....
So not getting the delivery tomorrow
What I really wanna say is, few forums say only check the exteriors... but i say check everything as much as possible. Had I not checked it in detail. I would have landed with a lemon.

They have promised to get another vehicle , if this time i dont feel it write im gonna cancel the booking and move to someother OEM.

If TATA guys are listens. Please concentrate on your QC

He must be passing Test drive vehicle to you. Did you check its odometer also.

This is pathetic , i think you should report this to TML. By the way which dealer was this cause even I have booked my vehicle through Concorde, Diary Circle, Blr

Hi Jag I too support Swadesi brands. I honestly evaluated Mahindra Verito Vibe too about a year ago but interior was uninspiring.

Saw my first Zest on road while coming back from office. Those taillights looks so stunning at night. Probably the best I have seen in new launches recently. It was White in color and the guy must be coming straight from showroom as all ribbons on handle were intact. I am really impressed by how classy it looks and the alloys looked good too. Also I was doing 90-100 on toll bridge which is empty at this hour and he zoomed past me. Didn't see which engine it is but it was really fast.

Booked Zest RT XT (Petrol top) on 26th September, got a call 2 days back for a possible delivery by Dhanteras, 21st October.
So will keep updating about delivery, review etc.

When will tata allot me VIN no?
