Tata Zest Test Drive and Review

I'm bit confused about AMC offered with zest.
when I visited showroom on last saturady, SA told that there is no such thing called gold AMC. the 3 year warranty comes for free with zest and will take care of all issues during those 3 years/45k kms. he did not push me for buying the ex-warranty and even he was fine when I said I wont buy ex-warranty.
that dealer is offering 1 year ext warranty for 8200.

with all updates on TAI and info from SA, I'm so confused . so please answer below-
1. what is gold AMC ?
2. is that same as 3-years warranty offered with zest ?
3. if it's different, what is the difference ?
4. someone did mentioned silver AMC. now what is that ?
5.do I need to pay for 3-years warranty being offered with zest ?

Under 333 program, Tata is offering 3 Yr Warranty, 3 Yr AMC and 3 Yr Roadside Assistance.

3 Yr AMC is different than 3 Yr Warranty. Tata is giving 3 Yr Silver AMC free as of now. It covers regular servicing expenses including oil/filter change except the consumables like brake pads/clutch etc.

7.9 K are being charged for 3 Yr Gold AMC which covers brake pads, clutch etc.

8.2 K are being charged for 4th Yr Extended Warranty.

3 Yr Silver AMC they are giving for free, and therefore going for Gold AMC at this point they should only charge the difference, and if they charge full Gold AMC cost in that case it is better to have 333 offer and at the expiry period of it, we should go for Gold AMC (May be costs by that time would have been revised).

350Z Bro!!! please look at the "Mud in the Engine Bay" issue in detail during your tests. I observed their Engine bay (In Revotron XT model) is completely open from the bottom. Is it problematic?

I think, they are charging the differential only.

However, as per my usage, I'll not drive my Zest for more than 40000 KMs in 3 Years. So, it is unlikely that the parts covered under Gold AMC will need to be replaced. Hence, I have not opted for it.

I have opted for the extended warranty but not for Gold AMC. I don't think these parts mentioned(Gold AMC) will go kaput and has to be replaced within 3 years. However Silver AMC covers most of the things.
Not sure if we have something in writing on what all is covered/not-covered in Silver/Gold AMC.

As per my info, you can buy Gold AMC and extended warranty within 90 days of your buy, but correct me anyone if I am wrong.

Till 90 days Gold AMC is at current price. After that 20% extra will be charged.

However, Extended Warranty can be purchased till 421 days as per Owner Manual.

Extended Warranty is available in the dealership from where you have
purchased your vehicle. We strongly recommend purchase of Extended
Warranty at time of purchase of your vehicle. Extended Warranty can be
availed till 421 days from date of purchase of vehicle. The Dealer Service
Marketing Executive shall explain to you the Terms and conditions, Coverage
and Owner’s responsibility.

No. Extended warranty is for 4yrs/1,50,000 kms IIRC

Some online articles mention about 6 yr warranty. But till now it's only 4 yrs/150000 KMs.

Wonderful cinematography. Watch this for that only. Tested XMA. Features explained were of XT. Have a look at how Zest handles at high speeds and sharp turns.

I was asking --> if it's worth to go for ex-warranty or gold AMC for zest ? which one to choose ?
I don't have much idea about the maintenance during first few years. so your opinion will certainly help . Thanks !
