Guys help me

I had booked tata zest pterol xmx beige colour almost a month back. I have delivery scheduled in last week of november for my wedding.

When will tata allot me VIN no?
Vaibhav,

The delivery/booking lag of XMX is not as much as it is for the the diesel automatic. But my guess that you will be able to get the delivery on time. Continues follow up with the dealer will obviously[:)] help.

Hello all,
a small update. today was at the showroom to do the PDI of my vehicle.
But their ends the happy part.[cry] when i first saw the vehicle from outside. it was very nice and good. but the sad part started when i open the boot lid. the spare tyre was found to be used, the front cup holder had scratches on the piano black area, the engine bay had rust in few places and finally had AC heater not working !!!![confused] at this stage i decided to stop [frustration]and said NO....
So not getting the delivery tomorrow
What I really wanna say is, few forums say only check the exteriors... but i say check everything as much as possible. Had I not checked it in detail. I would have landed with a lemon.

They have promised to get another vehicle , if this time i dont feel it write im gonna cancel the booking and move to someother OEM.

If TATA guys are listens. Please concentrate on your QC

Dude... report this on TATA MOTORS FB page and Twitter accounts.
you may not get it resolved for yourself but it will help others in future

Write a mail to customercare@tatamotors.com and escalate. They are not manufacturing Beige i guess. Everybody's beige is getting late. I also had booked a Beige but taking delivery of White today. The dealers are not aware of what is being allotted/shipped on Zest cars. Only when it is sent these guys get to know.

I've lost the count of requests that we've received through PMs and Mails for TAI's official review of the Zest in past couple of months. Finally I'm glad to share that we'll be putting the Zest to test this whole weekend. Therefore, making our review the most comprehensive one on web based on real-time thorough driving.

PS: Any specific queries regarding the car are more than welcome, as usual. Our test car is Revotron XT.

Drive Safe,

Waiting for your official review....[:D]

Booking tata zest worst decision of my life
I needed a car urgently. I have taken several test drive, and almost confirm chevrole sail when i see tata zest. Car is looking good (not as good a sail) but have all the safety feature i want and costing less than the sail so visit the SA and ask about expected delivery date. She told me that she can give u a car within 7 days. At that time tata has not announce any waiting time so i believe her. I asked about this car to my friends and my relative, And all people i know warn me about tata’s poor sales and services, poor quality and low resale value. But did not listen them and thought tata has changed and i should give them a chance. So i booked the car on 23 aug from raghuvanshi motors, delhi and apply for car loan which is dispersed in 3 days. They got the cheque of loan amount and booking amount. After that days their behaviour start changing. After 7 days when i enquire about my car SA told that they did not receive any car ZEST XMS RT yet and tata has declared 4 weeks waiting period for XMS, so u will receive ur car after 3 weeks ( 20 sep). On 20 September when again enquire about my car she again give me 7 days to wait. When even after 7 October i did not get any written expected date of delivery i sent an email to tata customer care. After 2 days they called me and also sent me an email giving me confirm date of delivery on 18 October. On 14 October i visit the tata motor show room because i want to talk with insurance guy, and saw a tata zest xms rt which is despatched for me by tata is given to another customer which has booked just few days ago. I complain but they assure me again that they will give me delivery of my car on 18 so i have to wait just for 4 days more so did not mind much. But on 15 when i called them they told me that they can’t give me any delivery in next 15 days. This was shocking. Previously they had confirmed that ur car has been despatched by tata and u r getting delivery by 18. This assured me that that don’t want to give me delivery of my car, and they have given my car to another customer. I don’t knw what extra money that customer pay them for this.
Today after 7 weeks of frustration, anger, tension, wasting time and money i decided that i will cancel my booking and never ever deal again with tata. Their car my be looked cheap but they cost u your imp happy movement of life.

I understand from my experience that dealers have a tendency to deliver vehicles allotted to one user to another. They are used to having the flexibility of giving delivery to important contacts/VIPs/whoever paid more.

There is only one thing you can do to avoid this.
Just after one week of booking, start troubling your SA for VIN number.
AFAIK, the vehicle should be allotted withing weeks of booking.
If you dont get VIN, drop mail to customer care highlighting your issue.

Dont give a chance for your SA to even dream of allotting the vehicle coming for you from the plant[cheers]

It is not TATA but their dealers are spoiling the sport.

This is high time TATA has to tighten the screws of such dealers to avoid dent in the sales of this beautifully engineered car.

Even last year I also had a tough time with one of their dealers while booking my Nano and with the help of escalation mechanism I sorted it out.

Feel very sorry for your plight. We need to escalate this to the highest order if possible. Tata should take care of such dealers and tighten the process if they wan't to sell more passenger cars.

@drdpk- this isn't an exclusive problem with Tata only. Happens with many dealers. I had to escalate to higher management for the delivery of my City. The mistake you did was taking SA on face value. They are born liars. You should have escalated it the first time itself and followed it up rigorously with higher management and GM of dealership itself. Anyways, some things are learned in a hard way. Hope you get a good experience the next car u choose.

P. S- for people in Delhi the Concorde motors on mathura road are very good and their service is impeccable with no cheating or duping the customer. Based on my experience of 3 years dealing with them.

thanks for advice.
i think i am a fool. because
1. before booking i didnot esquire about history of this dealer
2. when they told me that your called has been alloted, i didnt asked for chesis nu.
3. i didnt read term and condition of loan agreement before applying for loan. the agent told me that there is no foreclose charges but he did nt mention after two years.
i cannot cancel my booking now because loan agent (icici bank) is not allowing me to change company now. only option is to for-close loan for which i have to pay about 30000 rs.
from my experience i can advice
1. always read full term and condition
2. never apply for loan until ur car is allotted and chesis nu is given otherwise u will just pay installment without getting car.
3. never pay money to car dealer more then the booking amount untill chesis nu allotted. because soon after you pay money they start neglecting you.
4.listen to your friends and relatives, their advice is based on experience, which cant be false. i did this mistake and believe on tata[frustration]

Forget about the mistakes, Lets sort this out. I dont think paying 30k is a good option.
Zest is still a great product worth your money.

Ive been in touch with TML support for another issue and they just gave their manager number.

Mr. Sujay Shanbhouge, Customer Support Manager, Tata Motors on 8904066806

Call this guy and escalate your issue.

a very simple solution by which i smashed the daylight out of DD motors when they dint give my dexire LDI, a few years back

File a complaint at Online Consumer Forum | Resolve Consumer Complaints | Akosha and pay them Rs 800 as fees

They will screw dealer and tata via legal channel and i am sure very soon the dealer will beg in front of you to give the car
