I do not think So many Zest were sold in Sep the total TATA Motors sales being 11,931 units.

Zest and Ciaz are absolutely two different segments. So no comparisons.

Also for turbo idling it is better the car is idled 60 seconds after cold start and at end of day while switching off.
Does Revotron use Mineral oil or Synthetic Oil ? What is specified in manual?

Gold AMC is absolute value as per current TML car owners. So its better to pay that 8k and grab the deal.

Yes. September nos. are already out eventhough model wise break-up is still not available.
Expecting better nos. in the month of October.

Yes I have for my Nano and its absolutely penniless ownership. But only thing they limit for 20K/3 years which works for Nano but not for others. Hope they increase the kms at least.

Thanks i landed here somehow with google, felt reached some safe hands to ask my queries!!
I am getting my Zest XMA Grey delivered in a week time.
Would like to know your suggestions for must accessories to buy:
I felt below essential and help me know whether OEM or outside vendors would be cheaper for the below:
1) Interior mandatory accessories - i am thinking of 3D floor mat but not sure its available already, if not available whether OEM ones would be better next time or any other brand recomm?
2) Bumper guards, whether will be really useful?
3)I need to buy Car cover as i have open parking, OEM or any brand suggested?
5) Mud flaps OEM or any brand?
6)Thinking of seat upholstery - cheaper and best option - let me know suggestion within 20K
7)Reverse parking sensor/Camera - OEM or any brand. Other brand fitting will break warranty?

Let me know if any other accessory suggestions?

Also if any i can ask as standard freebies from dealer?

To say about me i am getting this as 1st vehicle on my road, driven my father's 'indica v2 dls' and 'zen lxi' but not analysed or worried much on any as they were bought 2nd hand and had few accessories with it :)

Would appreciate all your help to get my Zest on road, TIA!

3D mats would fit in great but as of now wait for a while till you can get these from the accessories stores, dont know they are available as of now or not but would be in some time.

No for these guards.

buy these from the dealer as it would be the perfect fit and you need ths right out of the showroom to park.

OEM mudflaps from dealer, try to get it as free accessory.

Lot many options available in this price range, even leather ones.What are you looking for so can suggest you.

Unless you dont cut the wires warranty does not break.So whatever you choose see wiring harness is used which is also the common practice from thea accessories stores now so warranty issues dont crop up.

You can ask as i suggested above atleast for the mudflaps, discounts on the car cover.Its a new car and in demand so dont think any more would be offerred so try to bargain and see what you can get.

I booked Zest XT Diesel Grey color 5 weeks back. But after looking many times i realised its looks like black. So i changed it to white color. Due to color change SA(at KHT motors Bangalore) told it will take 4 weeks time. I am expecting delivery before Diwali.

Reg. Seat Upholstery, if i want to go for leather option please let me know leather type i should look for if i shouldn't sweat inside and as mentioned below 20K or do let me know if you feel if any other VFM options with approx price.

Reg. Parking sensor/camera, please let me know if any brands suggested and approx price range.

Thanks jagrover for the support, XMA i preferred hoping driving will be effortless in city though no airbag and hoping it will be future trend here too following other countries..I hope to see more Zest owners here..sure you guys rock here with active discussions

Just had a TD of Zest Diesel XT.
Really blown away by the torque it produces in each gear.

I was able to upshift to 5th as early as 40 kmph that too straight from the 2nd gear. It pulled cleanly from there with 3 on-board.

I remember the good old days of my Accent CRDI where i could not upshift to 5th at speeds less than 60 kmph.

As somebody pointed out here, the XMS appears to be a VFM preposition for me too.

Zest Mats and carpets are available at some dealers and you can actually bargain for them with the dealer. If not, the dealers are providing some basic accessory packs for Rs. 3000/- to Rs. 5000/- (depending on dealer)

Bumper guards are very useful IMHO. Some people feel they change the aesthetics of the car, but why to regret later when your brand new car is damaged by scooter/bike/Rickshaw wallas.

You can buy them from aftermarket as the ones at dealers are overpriced.

Again, available at some dealers and you can actually bargain for them with the dealer. If not, the dealers are providing some basic accessory packs which include them.

Since you are from Bangalore, go for Karlson or Stanley. They are the best of the business and you won't sweat on their Nappa leather seats. Stanley would be somewhat costly, but it is Merc of luxury car seat covers.

Unless you don't cut the wires, warranty does not break. Can look at ebay for price comparison.

Got mail from Tata Motors today in my email account, the reason is I wrote in their facebook page that there should be a proper ref. no. allotted to each customer who books the car and periodically the status of the booking and waiting period should be informed to the customer by Tata, online.
Today they asked for my details regarding the dealer name and my cellphone number etc.
Hope to see some progress.

After doing so much research and fairly good marketing attempts (advertising, reviews, road shows etc), why TATA has not paid attention on bookings and supply of the vehicles? Particularly in this era they could have handled the bookings and status of the same very well online.
