Another alert for Zest buyers:

The service coupons given by the Dealer for the maintenance plan only cover 3 services over 2 years & dont cover consumables. As per Tata advertisements the present offer is 3 years full maintenance cover including consumables upto 45K kms.

My dealer has acknowledged this is an mistake & is trying to get a written clarification from Tata Motors.

Please check your coupons & get a written confirmation

Yup XE,XM models were those produced as inventory and not XT and XMS. That too in Red and Blue. Hence the delay..

My SA told that XT and XMS were booked more then TATA expected, and there is not availability of enough airbag system.

I have a question for all of you guys. Maruti Ciaz launch is around the corner (Oct 06) and Maruti is launching features similar to Zest (Infotainment System, projector headlights, etc.).

What would be the price at which Ciaz can hurt Zest sales and potentially change future customer's mind.

Would be atleast a lakh more but im expecting it to be around 1.5 to 2 lakh difference. And these are 2 different segments, Ciaz will compete against the likes of Honda City, so it wont possibly hurt potential zest customers.

Dealers are not very straight forward in telling what's included in 333 scheme and what's not.

Here is the ans given by tata customer care.
Value Care Gold: covers scheduled maintenance services – labour, parts & consumables as well as unexpected repairs viz clutch, brake pad, brake liner, suspension, belts, wiper, Wheel Alignment, Wheel Balancing and other Wear & Tear items.
Value Care Silver: Covers Only scheduled maintenance services – labour, parts & consumables.
Hope this helps.
TATA is giving silver plan free with ZEST and charging 8000 for gold AMC. I asked them about these plans on their facebook page and they replyed within 48 hr. Impressed!
