Zest is not a niggle free car, but I like the zest.
Coming to your issues. The HK system is a robust system built for developing markets.
These things are only known to the TML guys and not the ones in service centres.
Why ?
No proper training to servicing guys.
When a product is about to be released the service advisers are sent to their main offices for training. Zest is a complex car for their standards and hence these issues.

Regarding gear shifts, please shift gears between 1500-2000 rpm to make the best out of the TA- 65 gearbox
The key is to shift late till you build up proper revs and not overdo it
The issue I am facing is very peculiar and I faced it multiple times today afternoon in sweltering heat.
There is cut off of power or fuel I don't know what or which one it is -but I need to shift gear at that very moment or else the car stalls.
I was taking an incline and gave left indicator in advance to take left at a free left near signal which is when a red idiot innova cuts me from left and blocks my free left which is on an incline. At that very moment the power from engine got cut off, both these incidents happened simultaneously. I cooled my nerves not sure whom to slam - the driver of innova or the gear rod.
I just waited and let that idiot go and immediately downshifted to 1st gear and the engine didn't stall. I had to revv at 2000 rpm with half clutch to get the zest moving on an incline.
P.S. this happens only with a/c on.
