hi friends .after long time i m going to give feedback regarding my experience with my whitey zest xt .Till it has done 4500 km in which 20% my drive is consist of highway whhewhere remaining is single road.it has given me 23kmpl so far.i have taken caare that rpm remain under 2k .till date no problem regarding drive .the engine gets smoothr as you drive it for long drive.The road i used to go is not very good. it consist of lot of pits .i dont need to change gear oftenly as zest can drive easily in 4th n 5 th gear.but little bit force is required to shift gear from 1 st to 2nd.thats it only. suspension is very good .the A pillar issue is there you have to be cautious while taking sharp right turn.i m going to servicing my car in couple of days.i will then post reply of servicing experience till by.

Which city you drive in?
Are your drives mostly on highways?

23.5 on a span of 4500 Km OMG. That's brilliant man. You are utilizing the torque in the best manner I suppose. Kudos for that.

People say that QJT opens up after 10000 Km, In your case it has opened earlier or what ?
Imagine the same after 10000 Km.
Keep updating.

You are getting very good mileage 23.5 km in 4000km.
I have went Saturday for long trip around 275 km up and down for me I got 21.1 km/l 40km city and rest 200 km highway and 30 km in single road. I have maintained 2k rpm, but sometimes it went to 2200rpm then made under 2k.

which model you suggest me?
i td automatic .but there is a bug in ecu.
ie. in sport mode if i use reverse once and put in drive. car does not move.. its bit of an issue? in all amt? i have to remove key out and then start the car to move..

@Harish, Are you getting correct temp display in your MID? How accurate is it? I feel the Ambient Temp display in my car is way off the mark.
Yup, same here, It is not accurate. I've noticed higher temperatures mostly when I checked the outside temp on Mid.

I dont think that is a bug in all zest AMT.
As its highway drive, Diesel is the best option.
the variant entirely depends on your budget. If pocket allows I would suggest XT only which has airbags and touch screen and voice control enabled ICE.

Just wanted to confirm one this. Do we get full three year vehicle warranty by default to the car infotainment system as well?Hope it should. If one opts for extra 4th year extended warranty will it cover the system also?

Hello friends,
yesterday (friday) i got a call from the dealer and was informed about the arrival of my TATA ZEST XMS on their yard.
As i am not around my brother together with my friend went for the PDI.
They followed the procedures as mentioned by teambhp.
Thanks for the useful tips given by our team members.
All are okay except the following two issues.

1)Mud on the engine bay ....my brother asked the sales person about this ...but he replied that it will be attended during the first service
i remembered some of our team members have mentioned that for those ZEST manufactured from Nov will get cleared from this issue from the manufacturing point itself. Is it so ?or how?
2)The unlocked door indicators on the display not respond properly .ie all times it shows only a particular door in unlocked condition irrespective of our actions.(for any door if we open it does nor shows that door instead shows a fixed picture of one door).
so my brother asked the dealer to rectify these issues.

MIB fix kit is in shortage with dealers and you should get it after some followup.

But you should certainly get it fitted ASAP.

You should certainly get it fixed before taking delivery itself.

Both the findings are not issues and are normal IMO.
First is the normal idling rpm.
When engine is on, there will be light vibration on the steering.
I think as its Tata you are soo suspicious [;)]
