There is no cng variant for amaze..but advanced technology cng kit can be fitted in amaze. the performance is not much affected except weight to bhp ratio. that too very less.

Zest petrol being a revotron engine doesn't favour external cng kit

Harish,

I took the test drive today. I had to decide between Amaze and Zest. My heart was initially at Amaze but Zest scored over it in the following aspects - build quality, second row seating (three people seated comfortable), gadgets/interiors. As against what I've been reading lately, I found Amaze to have better NVH levels than Zest. But both have quite good refinement. And in Amaze the second row seating has lesser under thigh support.

Overall I ended up cancelling my Amaze booking.

Vivek

Zest is definitely a VFM and hope TATA doesn't increase its prices. It is priced very aggresively and looks very good. It is very spacious in the rear and audio quality is very good that one doesn't have to think about after market ICE.

Hi Guys,

Today "mud in engine bay" issue fixed for my ZEST at KHT dealer Bangalore. I will check it for few days and update whether the fix is working or not.

As I am a new driver, I won't be shifting the correct gears atleast during the initial months. It will be my first car and is it advisable to buy sedan ?
Thanks
Dont worry if its only about which gear at what scenario, Zest tells you exactly when to shift gears. It has gear shift indicators [:)]
But if you are not good with the process of changing gears(pressing the clutch sync), I would not recommend you to drive a new car. there is a bigger chance of clutch plates getting spoiled.
Are you planning to learn driving after buying the car?
Anyways, there is no difference if you buy sedan or hatchback. Any new engine will suffer if you learn driving from it.

Congrats Vivek on your decision [clap].

I'm not sure about Amaze petrol, but Amaze diesel has a very noisy cabin.
And I believe, may be the TD vehicle of zest was in a bad shape.
Because even in my diesel, sometimes the engine noise is zero inside cabin.

i didn't take pics since it is not visible outside. Just they are covering the suspension hole with iron plate same like Harish did on his own for his Zest.

I already learnt driving and I am very comfortable to drive in first, second and third. I already Test drove some of the vehicles. But as a new driver ,I am very nervous, fear of dashing some one which makes me panic ( which is reflected in sudden braking) sometimes. I haven't tried shifting to 4th and 5th gear as I don't have confidence now.

Hmmm. Seems the guys who taught you did it just to get you license.
I Mean, when you say, you didn't ever drive in higher gears, learning is never complete.

If you are good with smooth gear shifts, then things are fine. you can learn other things without damaging the car.
I would suggest take a car for rent for a few days, then try all that you want to, and then get inside your zest as a perfect driver [;)]

I will take it to 4 th and 5th once I get the control and feel of the brakes and more importantly once I am confident. As of now, I am very confident to travel in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Just do one thing. Since you have license, go to any driving school and tell them that you have license and need some practice. They will allow provided you give them some fees. I don't know how much. When I learnt driving it was 1500 bucks including license as their fees.
