I am coming from Santro where there is no tachometer. I am not used to check the RPM. I changed gear when I felt appropriate.

No, I used Eco and City 50-50.

Best of luck for the pre-delivery inspection. Do you the PDI checklist.

Majority of the time I used City and Eco. I found Eco sluggish only at few places such as climbing the fly overs, overtaking etc. Otherwise Eco too was good.

Many boarders has reported that there are minor variations between the FE displayed on meter vs. Tankful-to-tankful methods. Considering that, I am of the opinion that even during heavy traffic of city the mileage should not disappoint by going below 13.

With this logic, at late evening I booked XMS. The final cost will be 6.27.

your effort and time is really appreciable.That FE figure is really encouraging.
Thanks for clearing my only one concern even after booking Zest, i checked few owner reviews for FE assumed to get 13-14 fig in city with my driving style and your review shows that i may get that.
I booked from National Autowheels, Hadapsar and my experience has been nice so far may be due to my SA.

Dear members,

Yesterday I have inspected the car allotted to me. Everything is fine. However, the manufacturing date of the car is 5/11/2014 and the odometer reads 194 kms. Is it a matter for concern?

It should be less than 100kms...

Mine was 28 KMs. I ve read many places that it shud not be 0 but shud not be like above 100 and all unless yard is in a very remote place (like 30-40 kms away from showroom) or so Just ask them why did it run so much before delivery?

Concode told me that the Zest come to yard from Ranjhangaon plant. Cars dont get delivered in truck. They actually drive the car from Ranjhangaon to Pune ! Obviously it will cloak more than 100 Kms.

In that case, for delhi cars' odo should read few thousand KMs.

Why the hell are they charging the logistic charges then?

when I checked my car at stickyard ODO was 80 km.I was told by Pandit Auto that the ODO reading is due to various tests that cars needs to undergo before coming out of factory . I did not see any wear /tear on tyres though.

dealers think they know everything on earth and customers are iliterate [lol] hahaha

No company would do that.. Drive a new car from plant to showroom even if showroom is in same state. Tell them that you will contact TML directly through mail and social media and get a confirmation on this before accepting delivery.[anger]

That's a blatant lie. No car manufacturer will drive the new cars to the dealers even if it is in the same state/district.

Take it to TML through customer care and FB page. They are quite responsive over there.

Tank-Tank Mileage I got from Revotron XT:
Total 596 kms (380-Higway, 216-City)
City: 30%ECO+70%CITY modes
HIGHWAY: 95% ECO+5%(CITY+SPORT) modes
Initial 45L + later 10.10L, total 55.10L was fueled
Did a full tank today which took 32.83L. So, a total of 32.83+10.10=42.93 was consumed for 596kms= 596/42.93=13.88kmpl is the avg i am getting :)
It was showing 13.9kmpl avg FE on the console as well :)

Close to 720 Km with 80% AC and City mode throughout fetched me 16.7 Kmpl. Full update on my thread.
