Hey Appu,
Congrats for your new Maruti 800. Well after your bad experience with your bike accident this one looks like a safer bet. And the fact that you got it within your budget and made a huge amount do you have any modifications planned in line. Well any congrats once again.

Hahaha, I never said, Vista is stressful for city ride.

Actually I work in Chennai, Vista will be available in Vellore and serving for my parents.

As I wanted a car for my office commuting in Chennai, I had taken Vista to Chennai. But parents not able to go anywhere without Vista. So we started searching of Low budget car.

Our only criteria is mileage. As the car will be used for only city use, we searched so many cars starting from Nano to other cars with 1 L budget. My dad was not impressed with Nano. so started searching other cars and finally brought 800.

Still I like Vista to drive in Chennai city because of its torque.

800 is having poor breaks and Non-power steering, so it will be hard for my dad to drive 800. So, planning to leave Vista at Home(Vellore) and I may take 800 for office use at Chennai.

BTW, today taken Vista to Chennai from Vellore and will be keeping it here with me in Chennai for this week[:D]

Still 70K service is still pending. Current ODO 72,500Km.
Awesome Appu ji. Vista now looks much more sportier. Combination of white and black looks extremely classy. Next plan blackening out ORVMs and door handles?[;)] And smoking of headlights? Then your Vista looks perfectly out of a black and white movie.[clap]. Great Appu.

Super modification appu, but I'm quite unsure whether the lights will be bright enough to inform the vehicles behind you of your presence.

I see some lining protruding under the bumper and flash-light, see if you can blacken it to make it 100% [:)]

Congrats for your 800!! wish to see lots of mods going further, have a safe and happy motoring.

Does it have aircon unit?

Thank you buddy for your complements.

Yes, I'm also thinking of blacking the bumper lining. but don't know, how it will look. anyhow, will try by next moth.

BTW, the tail lights are clearly visible in day light.

Thanks for your wishes. So far no mods planned for 800.

Appu, Hope you had a great and fun trip. Vista looks great and from few angles (especially the first pic) it looks like a toned down Bolt if you take a peak. Super Appu[clap].

Re: Brand New Sedan Class (Vista QJD VX): 2.6 Years, 62,000+ Kms

@AppU - How's the Vista doing on 185/65/R14?

1. Has it improved ride quality & steering feedback?
2. Any negative impacts on suspension or on braking?
3. Is your spare also 185/65/R14?

I had Goodyear 175/65/R14 for roughly 38K kms but had too many punctures in it and there was a side wall cut as well and then changed all the 5 tyres to Apollo Acceleres, same spec, and touchwood they have been performing well for the past 23K kms. The only negative issue that I see with Accelere is that it's a bit noisy but sidewalls are thick (one of my requirement) and they are pretty good tyres. I get the feeling that even the handling and steering feedback has improved after shifting to Acceleres.

I am thinking of 185/65/R14 for the next upgrade. I can see that the error comes to 2.3% and 185/60/R14 error comes to 0.3% but I think the sidewall height gets reduced??

Find my answers in bold:

@AppU - How's the Vista doing on 185/65/R14?

1. Has it improved ride quality & steering feedback?
Yes, Ride Quality is improved a lot and Steering feedback is improved little bit.

2. Any negative impacts on suspension or on braking?
I changed tyres at 42,000Km and now the car is having 74,500kms in ODO. still running on stock suspension and I hearing some tar tar sound from right shocks on all the bumps. Actually I hearing that sound from 60,000kms. it may be due to roads which I had driven. apart from that, there is no major impact on suspension or Tyre.

Regarding breaking: because of up-sized tyres, Braking has improved a lot. It is sharp and accurate.

3. Is your spare also 185/65/R14?
Nope, my spare is stock tyre(175/65/R14) with aluminum rims. I think I never used spare tyre till today after upsizing the tyres[:D]

You are right, the error percentage is high(2.3%) with 185/65/R14 and for 185/60/R14 is 0.3%.

But reducing the side wall height will lead to stiff suspension, but It will provide better handling, But comfort level will reduce a bit.

With 185/65/R14, The comfort level remains the same, even we can say, it is improved.

after all, the GC has increased with 185/65/R14. I never had a scrap after upsizing the tyres.

My suggestion: If you are going to 185/60/R14, please let me know, how you feel with 185/60/R14. so that I can think about 185/60/R14 for my next set of tyres[:D].

If you ask me how is 185/65/R14, I can say, it is good and comfy and I never mind going for 185/65/R14 again[;)]

Exactly Three Years back, Whity reached home on the same day(16th April 2012).

Years are passing very fast and it is hard to believe that three years passed with Whity.

In these three years, I have covered more places and more places are yet to be covered with Whity.

Whity is my perfect highway partner and she does her job well and Good.

Me and my Parents are fully satisfied with Whity[:)]

Standing proudly with 76,000+kms on ODO[glasses]
