True. I don't think anybody doing over 155 will be looking in the console to see the speed limit icon glow. Atleast I don't.

In UAE where the roads were broad and free of potholes, the taxis had the speed limit warning in the form of chimes that get activated once they cross 120 KMPH. The frequency of the chimes increase thereafter proportionally to the increase in speed.

I think we should have a audio warning for more than 100 kmph, (which is 20 kmph more than the legal speed limits here), to make it safe to a certain extend.

Err... I have the habit of glancing the meters once in a few minutes to take a break from continuous road vision.

Not only in UAE , but in Bangalore also, all Mega, Meru , Ola cabs which are fitted with GPS will sound warning and announcement if they exceed 80 kmph, you can observe when going to KIAL airport.

Nothing much to Update about Whity

Whity is doing her Job well and Good. We all are really happy with Whity.

Recently done a trip to Thirumala and Kalahasti, I felt like driving a new car and my thirst of driving Vista is not yet full filled :)

For me i will stick with my Vista for sometime as there are parking constraints in my apartment. Otherwise, I will be looking for ZEST as a posible replacement.

You are right, I'm tempted after seeing Zest.

But, my Whity is not yet completed 2 years(2 more months to go) and I'm not even thinking of replacing Whity. She is doing her Job very well.

I may buy some SUV/MUV in future and planning to keep my Whity with myself

@AppU - Great pics and good to see VISTA doing well. Almost close to 50K in 2 years and you must be doing quite a bit of running .

Hope that the alloys are doing well and that you have not faced any issues after the upgrade to R14/185/65.

My Vista's headlights are completely out of focus. Do you know any place in Chennai where the alignment could be done for the headlights. I took it to Murugan accessories in T.Nagar (Chennai) and the person over there said that the there is a problem with the alignment screw and he cannot do it. T.A.S.S in Chennai don't even understand the issue, so really don't want to take it to them.

Yes, I have not faced any issues after upgrading the tyres in my Vista.

Vista crossed 49K Kms while returning from Chennai after the grand meet.

@Roadracer: Here are the pics to adjust Highbeam.

Headlights:


Small one is Highbeam:


Behind the headlights:


There will be two knobs, to adjust the Highbeam:

The knob which is marked in Red color is one of the knob to adjust the High beam:





Another Knob is present just below the wiring, So Remove the wiring by pressing down the small knob in the Holder:




After removing the wiring, you will find the another knob to adjust the Highbeam:




I tired adjusting the focus with the help of pliers, once you completed with adjustment fix the wiring back.


Do the Adjustments by facing your car at certain distance from wall in night time, so that you can check focus level.

Do one light at one time. disconnect the other with doing with one light.

Once you are Ok with the focus, connect both the lights and then check the levels of both lights. If both the beams are not equal adjust the one, which needs adjustment.

Yes, Vista crossed 50K today while heading towards Cuddalore from Vellore with my Parents. But Still 21 days more to complete 2Yrs with Vista.

Vista is Still Going Strong and the Thirst of Driving Vista is not yet fulfilled for me

BTW, Will leave for 50K service at New TATA dealer at Vellore by next month.

BTW, Done a 3days trip to Cuddalore and Kumbakonam.

It is really pleasure to drive Whity on those country roads.

I have covered around 800Kms during this trip.
