was a friends vehicle,other friends inspected the TD vehicle and had poor sentiments too-really wish we could get the TAI feedback heard

The Venture seems to be slowly creeping into towns and smaller cities. Spotted a couple in Chennai and Vellore. Had the strange experience of one zipping passed me at > 90kmph in the highway-never thought i would see that sight!
Spotted a new GX version yesterday at close quarters-perhaps the best color for the vehicle. If only TML had got the Venture right-BS4 engine, far better NVH and finish and at a lower price point they could have a head start and a winner over the MPVs-Quanto etc!

Yes i do feel it now, seriously it has potential to come-up in the country's fast-growing MPV market, but this Tata is a real goof up messing with engines[frustration]

It has good colors, everything and IMO a good competitor to the Quanto too.

Strange--TML has a head start, 8 seater, under 4 meters; a year later M&M launch a 5 +?2 seater-costs >1 lakh more feature for feature Quanto sells > 5000 in a month... Venture...~250---common TML wake up!!

October sales were ~200-country wide [cry]
Mr Slym-Here is a sub 4 meter 8 seater sitting under your nose-its ideal for city families-beef up the engine,reduce NVH and price it reasonably-it screams winner!!!

[cry]- ~140 ventures sold to lucky owners in November...still see a couple in Vellore and a few zipping around on the highway-wish i could stop one and ask the owner for a first hand opinion[:)]

Venture surely has potential to touch 4 figures sales number. only if TATA plonks it's CR4 engine into it and re position this product in terms of pricing.

+1 Visran! Why Tata is taking so much time in plonking the tried and tested cr4 engine in Venture is beyond me? It is because of these delays that Tata is having such a bad time,IMO!

The TML graph looks like its going to be a nosedive for a year or two before it (hopefully) takes of-the sales of the Venture and Aria for example.
I do wish Tata would spruce up the Venture-engine, NVH, seating position for the driver and front passenger...-make it attractive for a young family, and initially at-least price it aggressively
two years ago at the auto expo hopes were raised with the exibition of the BS4 Venture ambulance with ABS,airbags.. meant for "foreign" locales-[confused]
well ..hope 2013 is TML surprise year!

They are indeed testing the BS-4 Venture(probably with CR-4), just posted in FB page of venture that am going for Evalia by this June if TML doesn't give out BS-4 Venture, they quickly replied stating that

Hi Vishwas, thank you for your patience. The BS4 version should be in the market by that time. We will keep you updated via this page when we introduce any new features of the car.

I don't believe them really, because when i went to their showroom(Concorde) two weeks back, the SE(well knowledged guy) did not recommend us and insisted upon going for Gold where my father was impressed with its spacious interiors.

At the same day, we went to Aadya motors too, there he said we have a Venture ready, and he said its a 2012 model and they were ready give it deducting 50000 on the price.

Then slowly father did loose interest on the vehicle. Plus a lot of negative reviews are flowing in the web too.

Xovy dear, any of your sources can confirm if a BS-4 version is specced?

Dear Visran,Xover,TAI Venture fans
What improvements would you all suggest on the Venture-if TML is bringing in an upgrade,perhaps they may actually see these suggestions
Here is my list
1. Cr4 engine
2. Better safety-ABS and Airbags as a must
3.Better NVH
4. Better seating position for the driver and front passenger
5. Change the position of the spare wheel-it intrudes the luggage space
6. Have an intro price of not more than 5L for a medium spec version
7. Better decal on the sides and back
8. Much better advertising before relaunch
9. Make sure all electrical s and mechanicals are spot on before launch!

Spot on tdcarlover! I think if Tata implements everything what you've listed, Venture can become a successful product.I know for a fact that many people walk out of Venture only because lack of safety features.A'bags with ABS will definitely attract those private buyers apart from Euro4 cr4 engine!
