Tata Motors’ people mover based on the Super Ace platform is now available in three new shades.

The new colors namely School Yellow, Castle Grey and Sardina Red, have been introduced in the hope of luring more prospective customers. The School Yellow, as the name implies, is earmarked for educational institutions while the other two color options are targeted at private buyers.

The Tata Venture is powered by a 1.4 litre turbocharged intercooled diesel engine which puts out 70 bhp. The vehicle has seating options of 7 or 8 passengers and has a reasonably well appointed and spacious cabin, thanks to parts sharing with the Vista and the Nano.

The Tata Venture is equipped with features seen in B segment cars such as power steering, air conditioner with roof mounted vents, keyless entry, rear washer, wiper and defogger, engine immobilizer, fog lamps, etc.

On the sidelines of launching the Tata Safari Storme in Chennai, Mr. Ashesh Dhar, Head of Tata’s UV division had told India Auto Bolg that the company is working on a facelift for the Venture which will be launched soon.

We expect the Tata Venture facelift to carry the CR4 diesel engine which is powering the cars like Indigo eCS and Indica eV2. The diesel engine which is known for its frugality could improve the Venture’s appeal and ownership experience.

The facelift should only be a mild one(re-tweaked grill, bumpers, headlights etc),since Venture still looks very fresh. It is just a way to introduce the cr4 engine into Venture series,IMO!

Re: Tata Venture Exclusive Road Test Review

m not a great fan of Vans. I hate the over the steering driving position. And was disappointed when I sat in the driver seat. It was cramped for me (6'1). BUT at the back, it was comfortable, surprisingly. I would prefer to travel in the back seat of the venture ANY DAY.

Hope the finishing is a bit better.

Venture with less bells and whistles and reduced price can do good numbers for TML in my opinion..

Its an age old news, Venture was already available in these colors some 3 to 4 months back.

Um, i think no facelift would occur but would come with some extra features and major upgradation being the engine.

+1, They should reduce the weight too!

It's really really disgusting when you want to rest your left foot, because there's no space to rest your left foot!

fellow venture fans
What would be a killer price for a CR4,well finished venture-my guess 5L OTR -otherwise the Omni and Eeco will only giggle at a upgraded Venture
What do you all feel?

Re: Tata Venture Exclusive Road Test Review

Today (24th Feb) living cars on News X had a programme on SUVs and Buses-including the new Gurkha from Force motors-However of note they had a bit about the Venture ambulance-they did seem impressed-apparently would cost ~5.5L in this avatar-was eagerly hoping they would speak about the engine ,but they didn't-perhaps no changes there

Re: Tata Venture Exclusive Road Test Review

Well a bad news is that the production of the venture is stopped, the news is from Concorde Motors Bangalore, actually we went to see an used venture, and a person (probably SE) told that the production has been stopped, so its better not to go with the vehicle.

Maybe BS-4 are in the lines?

Re: Tata Venture Exclusive Road Test Drive Review

Well.... 350Z has put up the sales figure for feb 2013- all of ~150 Ventures were sold all over India-no wonder production has stopped-i wonder if there is a minimum that has to go on or can they stop and start as and when needed?
As an ardent TML fan the current fall is sad indeed-hopefully TML will learn from its mistakes and rise from its current "ashes"!
