One thing i can vouch from the experience of recent new car launches, Tata will not spare any thing when it comes to manufacturing of thecar.

the areas where they may goof up is the pricing. Like Bolt Vs Zest.

The Kite twins are completely new car being made unlike bolt and zest which were based on vista. So I feel that they will only retain the humanity line and move away from oldschool design of indica/vista/aria.

Don't know but somehow the latest spyshots looks like a proper sedan not cs under 4m length.

Am I the only one feeling this or others also feel the same way??

And also the tyres looks small for the body of the size

Absolutely true my friend. Even being a compact sedan. it has as look of proper sedan. No other OEM has managed to get the profile of the sub4m car so close to a sedan.

Well I feel that the test car is laden or rather overladen and hence the feel that tyre size is small for the body. The same size tyres look ok for the front wheels.
However, I think an additional inch of increase in diameter may definitely work in favour of the car.

Re: Tata Kite Compact Sedan (Indigo eCS Replacement)

Tata needs to act fast and launch the car in niggle free form (just like with Zest, Bolt and to a large extent Storme) as soon as possible. The intended market slot for this car is presently having no competition and a good launch may bring in some much needed sales number for TML.

It is expected that the car would be priced around 1L below Dzire/Zest/Amaze/Xcent and around the price range of a decent entry level hatch. So many such potential hatch customer (read as Celerio, Ritz, Grand i10 customer) can seriously consider this car. From the spy pic, the rear passenger is seen around the glass window so we can safely assume that the boot space of this car would be more than all these hatches.

Boot space is quite a strong criteria for car selection, specially those family who own a single car only, and I feel TML did a bad job with the boot space of Bolt.

For various spy pix floating around, the car seems to have borrowed many parts from existing TML cars while having a distinctly new exterior design. This is not a bad thing as long as quality of the shared parts are improved. TML adopted completely opposite policy with Zest/Bolt i.e. complete new parts/interiors/panels in a similar looking silhouette and that policy does not seem to working.

Seems like two type of dashboard on test .. May be different for csedan & hatchback similar to ford figo and aspire or Tata vista and manza.

One more thought .. What would come first

Hatchback or sedan.

It is already informed that the Hatchback will debut first in the coming months and then the Sedan version will debut in Dec-Jan.

A test mule has been dispatched to the US. Does that mean that the testing is still incomplete and rough edges are not yet sorted out. So there may be a delay in launching the car pending inputs from the US testing facility.
