It is only the festival limited period offer. Wesite shows different prices
Maybe to clear the stock or maybe after discounts and after deducting other offers ie corporate discount+exchange discount+loyalty bonus; all calculated together.

Tata Kite sedan, Zest & Manza(*) together these trio can give Tata a good portfolio for a sound presence in the Indian sedan car market with Zest serving to lifestyle Compact sedan consumers, Kite sedan to both budget & purpose oriented buyers while Manza sedan to strict purpose & taxi or airport travel transport purpose, thanks to its bigger boot space.
Now, Lets see when Tata will launch kite sedan ? Before hatchback launch or after the latter's launch or launch of hatchback & compact sedan twins at same time.

*Surprisingly its still in production as, i've seen a New Tata Manza LS last week. Though after visiting its website i came across the fact that its variants are re-named & re-specced as LS, VX, EX, etc against Aura, Aqua, Elan previously. I thought it was discontinued after Zest introduction.

I think TATA should think once again to launch Full Size Sedan (Manza Size) using TATA ZEST Body pannels and interior bits with Different name like TATA ZEST-UP or TaTA ZESTFI it will give good option for buyers who want TATA Zest With TATA Manza Like boot Space im the one in those customers and it will work for TATA because they wont cost much on developing this version everything was readly available for them and price size its will be a VFM product may jump 60k to 80K in price

So please TATA bring back TATA Manza makeover vesrion using ZEST parts it will fill price gap between compact Sedan and Full Fledged sedan like between TATA ZEST and Honda City

It's already tried and tested my friend! eg., Tata Indica,Indica vista Indigo XL, Indigo eCS, Indigo, and the extraordinary Indigo Marina!, Fact is is Maruti adapted similar strategy and it worked for him.

So it would be foolishness of them to zestify the products, or maybe they should create a separate identity for their own creation.

yes Concept was tried and tested but when it comes to zest based full size sedan its different story brother right now we have good option to position TATA Zest+(with big boot) as a entry level full size sedan because we dont have good looking sedans under sub-10lacks mark in market.

before that i need to say small story how Compact Sedan segment became boom in market

when TATA Indigo launched way back in year 2002 its became successfull but after entry of maruti Swift Dzire in year 2008, everyone shifted to swift and indigo sales falling So to stable their market share TATA started experiments on Indigo platform like IndigoXL deosnt worked then they finally decided to create new segment a sub 4meter Compact sedan TATA suprised every one with 3.75 lacks starting sales are good

finally maruti entered with sub4meter dzire


But technically sub 4 meter sedan sounds not practical indian people still missing proper sedan who baught good sized sedans in under 10lacks(before entre of sub 4 meter sedan) like Hyundai Accent, Ford IKON & Fiesta, TATA Indigo, TATA MAMZA and Maruti Dzire all these cars are practical sized sedans and feels like sedan

Now things changed full sized sedans teasing middle class customers you dont have enough money me to own me go for Compact sedan dont look at me [evil]

So at this kind of situations manufacturers should try to concentrate on budget sub10lacks sedans

in ready made form TATA and Ford have full length sedans in their hands

Ford KA+ and TATA ZEST+

please listen TATA and FORD make your possibilities and woow your customers

I wish TAI could do an in-depth interview with Cyrus mistry on short and long term product plans. we hear from the head honchos of other auto majors often.

PS This ad is way way better than the Zest Muh muh muh multidrive ads. I feel Tata are on right direction. Lets see if there are any more ads featuring messi. They have yet to reach the reclaim your life ad level however its in right direction.

The Ad is brilliant. It introduces Messi well to the Indian public and also talks strong of TATA Motors.

Glimpses of the car are also striking. clean sharp edges and brand new profile.

I am sure this car will definitely give established players run for thier money. Well i dont think it will be runaway success like kwid, i20 or creta. But will surely be clocking decent MoM numbers for Tata.

It will be up against established celerio, i10grand, alto, kwid. if priced deliciously definitely many kwid buyers may be lured to Kite. I think with such launches, alto may ( i am being very bold ) loose its No 1 Seller tag.


With Zest and bolt holding up well and that we have not heard or read a single horror stories or for that matter heavy ranting on the car, things to bode well for Kite twins.
Things will get better with every new launch.
