Tata Motors will surely be back in top 3 in the coming years, the group seems to regained focus on automotive sector. Zest is an example of it, with more to come especially the ones that are going to be on Raptor platform.

With the launch of the New figo at 4.3 lakhs , i am pretty sure that the Bolt sales will be soon going further south. The Kwid is going to be bang in the kite teritory and at that price -2.8 i feel the kite is already facing some heavy head wind. Does not sound good for TML..me a worried tata fan :-(

Yes its true. People will for sure go for Figo compared with Bolt. They should have launched Kite after Figo atleast to lure the customers who opt for the base variant of Figo. They are damn slow to the party. Atleast by the features which is offered in Kite, there might be a chance for the one's who consider the top end of Kwid might switch over to Kite.

Tata has a tough drive to compete against the newly launched products. [frustration]

Agreed. Kite is in storm now as the market is very much competitive now. Perhaps TATA should have done what they have said. They should have got the performance brand now with a halo product under it, atleast to boost the morality of the team. May be a bolt sport version, even a nano sports version(cant imagine myself a nano sports with 120 bhp equals 200bhp/tonne). The figo now chases even the gt tsi customers away. TATA should emphasise more on safety now. If the zest and bolt had the optional 6 airbags then the figo brothers would be fearing.

I feel Kite will have an USP i.e a 3 cylinder diesel engine with a 30kmpl mileage. Now TATA has got to price it right!

True to some extend, but the brand prospective will spoil the sport. [frustration]

Atleast they should have given a fresh design for Bolt & Zest. Thats the first failure for Tata.

Lets see, if the Kite design is a damn fresh, atleast they may succeed.

Car is same at indica from sides if you remove the protrusion, which they have used to hide the design all over the body. They have extended the back.New design headlights /tailights . Front is same as bolt. If launched below bolts price it would kill bolt immediately.

Possibly we may expect tata bolt will move moved to tata vista segment and may we have to consider as Vista replacement is Tata bolt after launch of Tata Kite because tata Kite comes with all kind of bells and whistles that we found in tata bolt or we may surprise if Kite comes with more then bolt

Bolt is already in the hatchback category. Withe the kwid launch they're in a delicate position to differentiate it from celerio, alto, wagonR, kwid and Eon since it falls in the same category. It might have the 1.0L Engine rather than the 1.2L in bolt. With all the stuffs which will surely retain the value for money moniker. Giving proper ABS and Airbags will surely make it serious contender since every other car omit it casually.

Bolt is almost gone after the launch of Figo. [confused]
The bolt can be rejuvenated, with some boosters technically. Get the bolt, with Revotron in its most powerful tune (wanna need some insane compression ratio, boost pressure.. what not you say), ditch the TA65 for Fiat C501 gearbox, full safety kit (ESP, ABS, atleast 6 Air bags, CSC), only one variant that too under a dedicated performance brand of TATA motors (akin to ABARTH for FIAT). If atleast 3 of the above 4 gets into the production home grown TATA can play with some big boys like Abarth punto T-Jet, VW GT TSI, the new kid on the block Ford Figo 1.5L DCT (atleast the dual clutch with >100ps calls for some comparison with tsi, never mind impressive on paper atleast). Lets wish some epiphany happens for the top guns of TATA and get the turbo spooled up for the boost....

Everyone are saying festival launch, but what exactly is the festival. Are they targeting Christmas or Pongal :p ... Apart from Figo everyone in the under 5 lakh segment is not much concentrated on the safety front. It's a good area where awareness in created recently. Hoping TML will score on structural integrity and safety keeping their value for money tag.
