Here the flash news Tata Kite Hatchback Launch In October, Pre-Production Commences
The Tata Kite hatchback’s launch is around the corner as the company has commenced pre-production of the vehicle. The Indica replacement will be the best from Tata Motors ye
You read it first on MotorBeam. Tata Motors revealed that it will be launching two new cars every fiscal year till the end of this decade. Last fiscal, the Indian auto giant launched the Zest and Bolt while in the current fiscal, it will launch the Kite twins (the hatchback is likely to be called Glade while the compact sedan could be called Boom). In the next fiscal, Tata will launch the Nexon compact SUV and Hexa crossover, the latter will replace the poor selling Aria, both models being showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. In the 2017-18 fiscal, Tata Motors will launch the Q501 5-seater and Q502 7-seater SUVs, both the vehicles being underpinned by the Land Rover Discovery platform. These SUVs will draw power from a Fiat sourced 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engine.
Coming to Tata Motors’ next launch, it’s the Kite 4, aka the Kite hatchback which will go on sale this festive season. According to sources close to the development, the Kite hatchback has already commenced pre-production and the promotional advertisement is being shot for the vehicle. The Kite 4 and Kite 5 are very similar in front-end appearance with the big differentiator being the headlights, the hatchback uses single-barrel headlights while the sedan uses double-barrel. Our source who has also seen the car in person states that quality levels are fantastic on the new Kite, being close to what is offered by Volkswagen.
The front-end design of the Tata Kite has been rendered by us earlier, so one can get a good idea of how the car will look. The side profile is similar to the Volkswagen Polo while the rear will remind people of the old Hyundai i20 (first generation). In other news, Tata Motors will curtail production of the Nano in 2017 and manufacturing of the entry-level small car will be based on order basis by next year, this is to prevent inventory pile-up. The company has a slew of new models lined up of its existing cars including a Safari facelift next year, Bolt Sports, Pelican and an updated Sumo.
