Re: My Fantastico: Tata Tiago XZ 1.2 (P) Sunburst Orange

What is the total cost of your 1st service? Why did you change the engine oil with just 1000KM on the odo? I think it must be changed only after 15000 KM?
Cost was 2322/- The breakup is there in the post that you have replied.
The condition of traffic is stop go traffic condition for my daily office commute.
You can also notice the condition of engine oil in one month in the pic.
I wanted the initial metal shavings or new particles out of the engine.
So got it changed. The next oil change i would follow is during 2nd service @ 7500 kms.

Is it possible to attach rear fog lamp with front fog lamps through relays so warranty is not voided. So when you switch on front fogs, rear fog will automatically lit up.
They said, they would wait for update from Tata on the switch.
Any changes they could do may hamper the electrical system as per them.

Mukesh there are lots of things which I am seeing for the firSt time.

Why fuel filter was changed ? Plastic strap ? Rust off ? And why standard checks were charged ?

Edit saw the plastic strap charge. Do you notice any difference?
Sorry for delayed reply.
Fuel filter is always changed as a good practice during engine oil and oil filter change.
So far have been filling fuel at shell.
I really did not notice any vibration before and after this change.

Mukesh,

I too saw them going here and there in one of the customers vehicle. A sky Grey Tata Zest number KA05MS0253. Is this the same one you saw?

Thank god I never leave my car in service center.
Hope ur issues will be resolved.
Hi Arjun, what i saw a grey zest with seat cover on it. Not sure on the regn number. It started with KA 51. Even i too prefer driving to dealership and have never used pick up and drop request. As they can misuse the car by driving rashly.

I have never seen KHT using costumers car they have red sumo with 24/7 service written on it. When for pick up and drop the use sumo at times test drive bolt
Great to know that. During feedback call Tata CC asked me if pick up and drop service was used? I said that i prefer driving myself to the dealership.
And that was in my bill, stating i had used that service. May be tata pays dealership for such requests.

well, I see ventilated discs there. You check the cross section, which looks hollow and not solid.
Ok. Noted the same. The one on my Scorpio has design on the disc not the hollow one as in Tiago. Good to hear this.

Right after service, the door unlock button was coming to the hand. Tata's feedback call came, and passed this info. Was happy when both service centre wanted to close this issue. Later, guy from KHT Motors solved at my office location.

I think you are happy with service now.
Yes Milemuncher. Hope it remains the same way.
My earlier dealer now started realising, why I did not went for service with them.
I will better go with KHT, as its nearer to my office.

5000 kms Update:

Tiago completed 5000 kms this month. And currently doing 5500 kms on the ODO.
Had been to a Mega Service camp to Prerana Motors - Kudlu Gate last Sunday.
Due to the note ban, the original appointment of Saturday was moved to the very next day.

5000 kms Completed.

Actual issues facing: The interior roof lamp (in centre position), does not lit properly when the doors are opened. It stays dim. But when in On position lits correctly.

Minor Incident on 19th November: Tiago met with an accident when standing at a red signal. My mom was driving the car when the incident took place. Luckily no one was hurt.
The activa driven by a guy jumps a signal, loses control. BAM!!! hits the Tiago.
The rider of activa had fallen far away. But the activa decides to hit the underbelly of Tiago it takes the impact. He literally grabs the Activa and sped away.

Since the Mega camp appointment was taken, went for full bumper re-painting.
They re-fixed the existing bumper since i did not claim the insurance. And now its restored to normal.

To be continued.....

I too faced this issue, that switch is a bit loose and doesn't contact properly at times. Slightly touch the switch when its dim, it will connect properly and light up as usual. Did this a couple times and no issues since then.

Do you mind sharing the cost of bumper re-paint and a pic or two? I have a deep scratch on my bumper with literally no paint on its front left corner. I am pondering if it's worth claiming insurance (I have no NCB yet) or pay from pocket. :help:

Hi Mukesh, So whats the mileage you're getting now? Also did you put rear fog lamps on your own since the car doesn't come with rear fog lamps?

Full front bmper painting costed me 5326/-
Actual quote was 5500 as per their list. I found this cost to be cheap, so did not want to claim insurance so early. And that too they wanted 3 days to get approval for insurance claim. Will post the pic this weekend, as I need to transfer the pics to laptop.

In city 9.3 kmpl in traffic with AC.
Highway - 21.1 kmpl.

Yes the fog lamp was installed before vehicle delivery. After lot of query with the dealer.
It was a straight fit from the ZEST.
Strange thing is they need to install fog lamp switch as in zest and the wiring.
But they say that Tata has not provided the required wiring.
But in the upcoming KITE-S there is a rear fog lamp switch.
Will follow up on this in the upcoming service (7500 kms) in another 10 days.

Car has clocked 6300 kms as of today.

Also there is upgrade of filler pipe assay of fuel inlet area.
This was informed to me that the update was available for my car.
I insisted them to get it upgraded in the 2nd Service.

Re: My Fantastico: Tata Tiago XZ 1.2 (P) Sunburst Orange

Contd from other day.

Hey guys, here is an update on the previous accident repair of Tiago followed by the update of 2nd service at Prerana Motors - Kudlu Gate.

The activa that came below the Tiago created a kind of dent.
TIA-ACC1.jpg

Looks minimal in the pic. The entire bumper below had scrape marks below.
TIA-ACC2.jpg

Left side was intact.
TIA-ACC3.jpg

Repair Bill
271.JPG

2nd Service Update (6 Months) - 6687 kms.
223.JPG

Tiago has been a daily car for office commute. I wanted to clock at least 7000 kms before this service. But that was the best kms i could clock on ODO.

Service Request:
1. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement - Wanted to check the condition of engine oil. This time the oil was not black as during 1st service.
2. Tyre Rotation - This was done by performing cross rotation of tyres.
3. Wheel Alignment (Front) was done. (FOC)
4. Additional things by SA - Some kind of treatment for window panes from Auto Krom and to the battery terminal.

Issues Reported:
1. AC blower noise.
2. Speaker on entire RHS stopped working. Scenario for this issue was the music was playing and i received a call through handsfree. Post disconnecting the call, there was kat. kat sound from right side speakers and music stopped from RHS speaker.
Again i received one more call, the RHS speaker started working for calls, but not for music.
Post reaching the office and cool down of the car, i turned on Music system and it started working fine. The issue resolved on its own. (Asked the A.S.C to check the fuse connection during service).

Prior to this during campaign had got the interior lamp flickering issue resolved.
During the accident repair the interior were soiled and greased at multiple locations. Later they picked up car from my office and cleaned the car.
269.PNG

The filler pipe assy replacement was informed to me during this time. But i wanted the car by evening. So did not intend to get this done by that time.
It says cancelled in this invoice.
273.PNG

This time they cleaned the car and then took the car on the ramp around 2:15 pm.
Vehicle reported to workshop at 9:45 am.
253.JPG
Engine Oil draining.
254.JPG

255.JPG

256.JPG

Some kind of coating on the battery.
257.JPG

Disc cleaning and tyre rotation.
260.JPG

Pouring of engine oil. He filled 4 litres then drained 500 ml.
He went blank when i asked the quantity of engine oil. I said it should be 3.5 litres.
He realised later and drained the excess oil.
259.JPG

This bay is for final wiping and AC filter near co-driver was removed and cleaned.
Air throw is just perfect now.
262.JPG

Finally Alignment of front tyres.
263.JPG

Final 2nd Service Bill
272.JPG

This time i would rate them 10/10.

Interior cleaning and exteriors were top notch.

Moreover, the CRM was overlooking the cleaning of my car.

Re: My Fantastico: Tata Tiago XZ 1.2 (P) Sunburst Orange

Your car color is brown not orange.

I've been through similar accident a week back, i hit a motorcyclist, fortunately no one was hurt since speed of impact was relatively low at <7kmph. Front bumper received a small crack and radiator grill has broken as well! My baleno is a very delicate car.

Highway mileage of 21kmpl is satisfying , i always get north of 24kmpl on my Baleno while cruising at 80kmph. At what RPM your Tiago does 80kmph ?

1. I thought of changing oil during second service but my SA insisted not to do so because of synthetic oil used in Tiago. He also quoted north of Rs3500 for oil change which is more than double the actual cost from your invoice copy. Way to go Tata!
2 & 3. I really wanted to rotate tires and align wheels but again was deferred by SA to third service [frustration]. I will check the tread wear myself and get it done elsewhere.

Fuel Filler Pipe Updation @ 6790 kms - Prerana Kudlu Gate:

After the recent 2nd service, the fuel filler pipe assy was not in stock.
Incidentally after the recent cleaning during service the seat belt locking mechanism were not found to be seen at the rear seats.

Last Friday went for this updation programme, though the part was available since Monday (same week).

Reported the vehicle at 11:15 am got the vehicle post lunch at 2:30 pm.

Earlier version was made with plastic.
157.JPG

Complete Metallic (Now)
026.JPG

023.JPG

Neatly tucked in - joining the earlier plastic part neatly.
025.JPG

Something mysterious was reported by SA, though i had not mentioned about engine overheating or anything of that sort.
021.JPG

Seat belt thingy... Found a method where the rear seats can be easily detached.
Issue resolved.

:lol!:
Good to see that pricing. Based on that pricing, it seems to be full synthetic oil.
The options we have here in Bangalore (KHT and Prerana) is semi-synthetic.
