Re: My Fantastico: Tata Tiago XZ 1.2 (P) Sunburst Orange - 21,000 kms and Counting

Hello mukeshus,

Heymadtvm.
It was a good interaction during the weekend.
The previous day, i had got the Tyre rotation, alignment and balancing done for Tiago, as it had clocked 20,000 kms.
The next day it was Hawk, for its alignment and Balancing at 1,00,000 kms. That is when we met.
We had an exhaustive talk on Tiago and other stuffs.
Hope there was no damage to your petrol tank and under belly of tiago.

21,000 kms:
Today the Tiago clocked 21,000 kms on ODO.
During the last months visit, the ECU was updated to RN13 version from RN7 version, now the fuel flow rate seems to have improved on gradients. And the air filter cleaning has considerably increased the pickup.

Tomorrow have got the 4th service scheduled.
Will go for engine oil change, this time too.
Have clocked 7,200 kms so far after the previous oil change at 13,800 kms.

Have few sporadic issues.
Fuel level staying at 3/4 th even when the tank is full.
It shows full level only after 10-15 minutes at times.
Also, thinking to get the air filter replaced, as per last times visit. My commute has been through dusty roads of Bangalore, where they have dugged up everywhere.
During last visit in November, they cleaned the air filter and AC refrigerant (40g) was topped up. AC works fine.
Then have reported some other issues.

Will update more after tomorrow's service.

Hi All,
It’s been so long.
My Tiago has clocked 24,000 kms till now.
Got the 4th service done in Mid-December last year.

4th Service: Costed 2949/-

Got the engine oil, oil filter, air filter, and fuel filter changed.
The brake pads and wiper blades were replaced under Gold AMC.

Strange thing, they tried to avoid the oil change and other replacements since I had the Gold AMC. Later, instead of 4th service (Campaign) was mentioned.

Executive was specifying that, car requires only inspection and no replacements at 21k kms.
Fuel leveller started working fine, after they removed the component under rear seat and refitted the leveller back. They were about to order one, but the issue got fixed.
Will update more.

Hey All,
Tiago clocked 25,000 kms today.

Issues faced:
Faced low mileage issue, due to slow leakage of air from the driver side tyre.
On driving for more than a month, felt that something was missing.

On inflating that particular tyre till 40 ps, found that air was leaking from sidewall - slowly.

Last week sent the tyre for inspection to Goodyear through the dealership.
They charged me 500 bucks for car inspection and replacing the tyre under warranty on a pro-rata basis (79% of cost is borne by Goodyear as per tread depth).
21% to be borne by me.

Have to collect new tyre from them this week.

Harman infotainment was updated to version 1.8, as i used to hear kat kat sound from the driver side speaker, the moment call was terminated and music resumed.
The Infotainment would go to mute, until the ignition was turned off.

Will update more on this.

Hi all.
The car is going to clock 30k kms tomorrow.
Want to share all the updates for over an year, thanks to work - Need to be active here again.
The car has become smooth after the clutch change, no more juddering of the car.

One good update which TML has listened during the first years JD survey call.
I had specifically told about the usage of Syndicate wiper blades. And how they are ineffective in rainy conditions (due to the heat sensitivity of wiper blades).

I had told them that the dealership has absolutely no issues in replacing the wiper blades under Gold AMC.
Perhaps its the sourcing team should try using Bosch wiper blades.

Good to see that during the 5th service and the final Gold AMC service, the wiper blades are now Bosch make.
There are no fogging of windscreen right after the wiper blades return to their original state after cleaning.
It used to blind the vision on rainy drives.

Did a solo driving long drive to Mangalore somewhere around 24,000 kms on Tiago.

It was a refreshing drive few months ago.

Good Bits:
Got a Good year Assurance Duraplus tyre under warranty (pro-rata basis).
Clutch got replaced.
Brake pads were replaced back then.

Bad Bits:
Did not get the P2P - Had escalated till the MD level Mr. Guenter Butschek.
Will explain all of them in the next few weeks.
