We have added a Tata Tiago XZA to our garage. There was an ever increasing need to an automatic but dad was firm on not spending too much money on it. Went through a few options and selected the Tiago XZA. The experience has been good so far. I am away from home hence I cannot provide direct views on the car but here are 2 pictures of our car!

Got the car today. Tass did an excellent work and the paint quality is top notch.

They changed the driver side wiper plus arm , the orvm and painted the bonnet. Total charges were 8000+ rs. Paid 1000rs after the claim.

Third free service bill is attached. Paid 1470rs for engine oil and oil filter.

Beware.. exposed biggest scam in Kolkata service center. Company Should provide brand new product for replacement under warranty items. I caught #harman employee #redhanded while replacing with refurbished product which was loosely packed with plastic. found scratch mark in IR sensor, date of manufacture march 2016.

Hey Everyone @ TAI! It feels great to be here.

The Lady in Red:

A requirement for my Wife came up for a compact automatic. The usual was considered: budget, looks, features, build quality, safety, VFM. The budget was set at 6 lakhs. The cars in contention were Kwid, Celerio, Grand i10, Swift (though neither swift nor Grand i10 fit the bill) and the Tiago! The Tiago was the unanimous choice since it meets all the criterion listed above! And may I say this is the 5th Tata car in my family, after the Sierra, Indica, Indigo and Indigo CS. Honestly wanted to say Tata to Tata but this was completely refreshing, the interior fit and finish, the premiumness it brought in, the way the AMT drove.

The AMT is sourced from Magneti Marelli and I shall share my thoughts on it in a few days time.

Booked it on 15th June and got the Delivery on the 30th of June. Got a fair deal from Concorde Hyderabad. The XZA costed me 6,36,800 which included Nil Dip Insurance, the usual Mud flaps n Mats, and the Side Rub Rails were then negotiated as a freebie, they also gave me 10Lts of Petrol. The Delivery experience was sweet and I mean literally. The car was covered in Red Satin Cloth, the ribbon was cut, bouquet of roses for the Mrs and a cake! All the employees gathered around and clapped as we drove off! Niceee :)

Thanks Anshuman. But in a trouble now. Dealer asking to pay full amount by tomorrow to bill it in July prices. Before doing PDI, I'm bit hesitant to do the same. When the car reaches the yard (by August mid probably), when I'm ok to bill the car, he is saying August prices will prevail. Please give me suggestions.

Meanwhile, is there a price hike already happened to TML models ? Checked the Tiago official site and it seems there is no change in Ex-Showroom prices as of now

Looks like your dealer is trying to push you by pointing out the price hike. I have just booked Tigor and paid only a small booking amount and Invoice made on the existing price. I have told him that I will make payment only after I get the VIN number as they don't have the car in stock (my preferred color).

Its true that Tata increasing the price around 2%, which according to my dealer, effective from tonight.

Yes price hike is on the anvil. The dealer is taking you for a ride. They cannot raise Invoice without VIN no. So they would take money from you and park in their account for time being. Better check with another dealer as well.
If you are not taking any loan better to pay token advance and get in writing same price will be available when car is allotted to you.
They still can raise prices but offer you discount to negate price hike.

By invoice, what you exactly mean ? I had already paid the booking amount + a part of down payment to the dealer. Remaining is part down payment and loan amount which is already in approved status. When the car is ready for delivery (when you make the complete payment), the prices at the time of delivery will be effective is what I understand.

Sorry, not Invoice. He has given me the estimate as per present price and against that I paid Rs.5000 as booking amount. Also I have got a quotation from them enable for me to obtain loan from the Bank and the quotation also shows today's price. The delivery time is minimum 12 days from today as the car has to come from Gujarat or Pune factory because they don't have the color in stock.

What I am trying to say is that even if we book today the old rate will apply and no need to pay full money by today as your dealer demands.!

Yes, I am getting the car in July prices.
