Booked today a Tiago XT in sunburst orange, coz dealer assured they have one in its other showroom in nearby city. Will be taking delivery on Tuesday. Anything imp to check in PDI? Also whats new format for car no. Heard Tata changed format... Just wanna make sure I don't get older car... Will post pics of delivery Very happy for being a part of Tiago pact. And yes On road price in Gonda city in U.P. is quoted 5.4l including 15k of some tata branded accessory set including seat cover, body cover, idol, mats and other small nick nacks... Also 2 year extended warranty for ₹7500 that makes ₹547000 on road with 4 year warranty. Hsve been told the car was alloted for some other buyer but he is now delaying the delivery may be looking to go in for Tigor. And we need a car by may first week. They also have xz but only in white/silver. I love sunburst orange so readily made desicion. Dealer- Shri dev wheels, Gonda showroom.
Congratulations Brother
I would say if you have budget for XZ grab it. Compromise on colour can be rectified later by wraps but safety equipments cannot be retrofitted.
For accessories aftermarket is better option. Do go ahead with Extended Warranty and P2P AMC.

Congratulations, I am attaching a PDI checklist here made by ZKMagazine. Go through it and inspect your car accordingly.

Tata has not changed VIN format, 10th digit is year and 12th is month.

Year
F = 2015, G = 2016, H = 2017
Month
A = JAN, B = FEB, C = MAR, D = APR, E = MAY, F = JUN, G = JUL, H = AUG, J = SEP, K = OCT, N = NOV, P = DEC.

Thnx bro for the PDI link, we are slightly right on budget this time so XT will do.

Today we (me n dad) checked our car thoroughly and it's great slight smudges & dusty as it was brought from another showroom of the dealer in nearby city. Though S.A. promised that they will do thorough washing, polishing of exterior, interior including tyre polishing before delivery.

Great brother. Congratulations.

Cars in stockyard are dusty, not to worry on that.
When is the delivery scheduled?

Tiago XZP mileage update after first 1,000kms:

Driving conditions:
  • From 1 passenger to 5 passengers (75% time driver only)
  • Include speed between 60kph to 110kph (once) with 1-5 passengers
  • With and without AC in City/Eco modes
  • 70% city (town, no b2b traffic) and 30% highway
  • Include 1-2 minutes warm up idling twice everyday (this really affect mileage display figures)
  • Sedate driving, cruising speed 60-80kph mostly
  • 50 days since purchase, used every day.

Not bad. [thumbsup]

This is indeed a shock Gautam, its the height of incompetence in my opinion.

What happened?
In the beginning of April, our friend Tanveer was travelling to his native place. On the way, his car was tailgated by a VW Polo, let the pictures speak for now:

He claimed the insurance on 4th of April and Tata service station guys are still clueless about when they are going to return the car back, meanwhile, this is how the Tata guys carried out the repair process. I was literally shocked to see this video. The Tata guys told him that this is a well tried and tested old method, while I have my own set of doubts on what they have been doing. Kindly check the video posted by Gautam for reference.

I would be going for 2nd service in a few days. Till now I have covered only 1800kms as using bike more due to heavy Bangalore traffic. Should I go for Engine oil change now or in 3rd Service?

Also thinking that mineral oil would be better now. Is there a choice of oil Tata SC gives or we have to go by them blindly worrying about our warranty?

On another note has anyone tried Concorde opposite jpmc/PTP on ORR?

Hi Abhishek,
Tiago's official oil change is only by 1 year or 15000 kms.
The oil is Castrol Magnatec.
I have got it changed twice @ 1398 kms and at 7000 kms.

That Concorde showroom in front of PTP is only sales. No servicing of cars.

Oh besides showroom, there is a street with concorde board pointing inside (saw some days before), I thought there is TASC inside. Did you give for free pickup drop or you drove yourself in your servicing? Which service centers have you tried?
