My Tiago XZ diesel completed 2 months today. Kms run so far 2300.
1.Current city Mileage varies between 16-20 kmpl. (with AC on mostly)(2nd gear-16 kmpl,3rd gear rides-17 kmpl,4th gear & coasting :20 kmpl)
2.Highway mileage is 25 kmpl with AC on half the time speed of 70-80kmph.
3.Had a tough time cleaning the interiors of the polish applied by the SRT service centre. It lead me to badly burning eyes.
4. Clutch is still hard & a pain in city.
5.For AC to be effective in Afternoon i open all the windows for 5 mins minimum on the move.Then switch the AC on.Else hot air keeps circulating inside. Front windshield sunfilm might be needed soon.

First Taigo big crash reported;

Thanks fully none of the passengers were critically injured. Speaks volume of the strenght of the car.

Though it is not crash tested, I now firmly believe that tata cars though heavier, even if they dont give great mileage do save lives when in accident.

This pic and many other pics like this have done rounds in our Tiago group and we are well impressed by the real life strength of the car. No lost lives and many cases owners unhurt. The best thing is the A pillar is strong and it keeps the structure intact which is very very important aspect on a good structure of a car.

ECU update for Diesel Tiago

Mine is August 2016 manufactured, got ECU update.
Diesel clatter is non-existent and vibrations have reduced, pickup have increased. Feels so silent. Have to check whether it has taken impact on FE or not.

The latest ECU update is RN10 for petrol, which must be updated in your car.
One FB group member claimed that RN11 is under testing.

HI anyone please suggest good service center in Hyderabad. I usually go to Concorde Motors, Uppal only because it is the nearest place for me and unfortunately I am not satisfied with their service. First service was fine because its only minor checks.

Second one gave me problems:

1. After wheel alignment, went for test drive, immediately I noticed car was dragging to right side and when I asked them about this, answer is "its normal, car is absolutely fine." I wonder I drove my car for 6000 km and never felt like dragging, but they say its normal??? On their word, I went home, but I was not comfortable at all as it was clearly dragging to right. I had to call them again and on my insisting they asked me to come again. Went next day, they made few changes, now its almost back to normal (about 90%).

2. Car vibrations and gear lever vibrations... again same answer "its normal for Tiago."

3. Rattle sound from dashboard on top of odometer. If we put hand on it, it goes off. Answer I got "some problem with dashboard cluster, we made necessary changes and its fine now," but I still hear that sound.

Its all after 2nd service and here is the latest one, My car in bumper to bumper traffic, hardly 0-5 km speed, I hit a temporary divider block (made of concrete), making small scratches and right side of bumper came out just a little bit. Again Concord says, it may take 1 day depending on damage happened inside... One day to remove bumper and put it back?????

Apart from all these, my car is due for 3rd service NEXT month, I want to make sure these all taken care in that service and I don't trust Concord Uppal now... Please anyone suggest good service center in Hyderabad.


Finally anyone put fog lamps for XT? How much it costs and is it worth to add fog lamps to XT?

Hi Murali, my service center told me that gear vibrations can be fixed but vibrations on steering, seat, doors cannot be fixed since its a 3cyl engine without balancer shaft which is true. I don't have any vibration on the gear lever so didn't do anything. And this vibrations are felt only at idle and not on move. You should check with other service center, they should do an ECU update and fix gear lever vibrations. There is some dashboard rattling in my car which happens mostly when I drive in AC in 3rd, 4th gear and the rpm is around 1500-1600 mark after which it disappears.
While buying Tiago I was checking the accessories price list and while other accessories are fairly priced, fog lamps are insanely overpriced. 13.5k was last when I checked. Its almost double what other manufacturers are changing. And fog lamps are a bit weak too. This is also one of the reasons why I went for XZ. Not sure if doing it from outside can void the warranty.

I have given my storme to concorde Sanath Nagar then to Tejaswi Madhapur and to venkatramana Kondapur found venkatramana to be the most accomodative and also level to expertise is also good.

Yes my gear lever has no vibrations even at idle. Old batches had this issue and few from new also I think.

In fact I bought car from Venkataramana motors only, but its 35 KM away that is why I chose Uppal. Once again thanks, this time I go there for 3rd service

Yesterday I received a welcome letter with 3 pictures of car handover ceremony from the Tata Motors dealer who delivered my Tiago.

Booked today a Tiago XT in sunburst orange, coz dealer assured they have one in its other showroom in nearby city. Will be taking delivery on Tuesday. Anything imp to check in PDI? Also whats new format for car no. Heard Tata changed format... Just wanna make sure I don't get older car... Will post pics of delivery �� Very happy for being a part of Tiago pact. And yes On road price in Gonda city in U.P. is quoted 5.4l including 15k of some tata branded accessory set including seat cover, body cover, idol, mats and other small nick nacks... Also 2 year extended warranty for ₹7500 that makes ₹547000 on road with 4 year warranty. Hsve been told the car was alloted for some other buyer but he is now delaying the delivery may be looking to go in for Tigor. And we need a car by may first week. They also have xz but only in white/silver. I love sunburst orange so readily made desicion. Dealer- Shri dev wheels, Gonda showroom.
